Thank you for visiting...... If you have any questions feel free to write and if you don't receive a response...please check your JUNK box, it may be there. Thank you!

As far as I am concerned, Orcas Island is one of the most beautiful islands to visit in Washington State! The natural beauty here with the colors of the Madrona trees, the sparkle of the water and the abundant wildlife are absolutely spectacular and a pure joy to witness. Orcas Island is abundant with pottery shops, artisan shops, music in the park, theater, kayaking, hiking, whale watching, boating, fishing, swimming and water all around....Its the best island and most magical!!!!

Forest House is nestled in the woods with views of the water through the is very quiet and peaceful! It was custom built with much tender loving care by Sunray Kelly, an alternative northwest designer/builder. The house was built with mostly natural materials and a low impact on the environment. I keep working on has needed some restoration work and so every year a new project addition or betterment. Tons of love is put into it between travelers..........I truly hope you enjoy yourself thoroughly!!!!!!

The house has many unique features like: A sunken round soaking tub Propane fireplace Cathedral like windows and doors, 10 and 12 sided rooms with curved walls and beautiful wood throughout. 3 Decks with many different places to sit and contemplate

You enter into a 12 sided living room with lots of windows and views of the water, trees and sky. In this room is the main bed which is a very comfortable pillow top QUEEN BED. Walk down the hallway to the toilet room, tub room and a galley kitchen which was built by Faeries themselves...well not exactly but almost. The counter tops were built with live edge spalted alder and cherry wood. Copper sink, range, refrigerator and all the kitchen necessities for cooking a meal.

I am so happy to be here and love sharing this beauty with others.

On Orcas; enjoy hiking (nearby Moran State Park has over 35 miles of trails) and the beaches & the south entrance of Turtleback mountain. Rent or launch your kayak or canoe from beaches or the lakes, swim in two amazing lakes or if you dare, the sound, great fishing and eating. Eastsound has many unique shops, outdoor concerts in the summer, farmers market and an excellent performing arts center. Check out the Chamber of Commerce website for weekly happenings. There are many wonderful restaurants and pottery shops as well as a golf course.

Be sure to consider treating yourself to a custom massage or a facial at the house. Suzanne had been involved with the healing arts since 1988 and has worked on over 9,000 clients. She integrates all her studies with developed intuition to give each person exactly what they need!!! "Your massages are truly magic!" TA & PS

Here is what people have been saying about their time at the house. It says it all:

" Being at a place like this makes you feel alive! I always wanted to live in a “ Swiss Family Robinson” home in the trees and this home is the closest I have come to it yet. Thank you for allowing us to share this interesting place! J & E

“Serene woodsy cabin”

Reviewed 7 Nov 2018

Delightful and so comfortable! The soaking tub was really unique and nice. We really appreciated how clean the cabin was when we arrived, as we brought our crawling baby. The only, only thing I would change is to add a drip coffee maker :D Thank you for a fantastic vacation spot!

Response from the owner So glad you liked the house. So sorry there isn't the drip coffee maker. I have been through several and because of the high mineral content of the water...they get clogged (even with trying to clean them) and then get thrown away in landfill. There is the simple drip coffee maker, you just have to pour the water yourself. There is also french press. Thanks for the feedback and also coming!

I reserved the "Forest House for my Husband's Birthday. What a wonderful time we had. My husband had never been to Orcas before so we had two great experiences, the Forest House and The Island. Our only disappointment was Mount Constitution road was closed due to the snow. Other than that, would highly recommend staying at the Forest House for an enchanting experience.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience and spending time at Forest House!!! So glad you enjoyed!!

“One of a Kind Place!”

Truly wonderful experience! When you wake up in the Forest House, you are welcomed by views of trees and ocean. At night we watched the stars through the large sky light in the center of the room. If you are looking for peace and quite, this is the place. With that said, you can be at restaurants and shops in no time. Thank You Suzanne for the personal welcome sign and being so informative through out the booking process and stay. Can't wait to come back!

Response from the owner Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience. I am so glad you enjoyed and come back anytime. Best wishes to you both!!!

“Escape to Enchantment”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2016

My stay here was a gift, and I did not know the destination until I arrived. Absolutely enchanting. So nice to lie in bed and look up at the trees, which surprisingly were not yet defoliated. Enjoyed the craftsmanship of the fairytale setting. Truly a magical and restful couple of days. Can't wait to come back.

Response from the owner So glad you could come and you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to review and also come back anytime it works for you, I would love to have you again. I could feel you and your sister's appreciation with the way you left the house. Thanks so much!!!!!

The place was fantastic, and Suzanne added a lot of personal touches when we arrived which made our stay that much more enjoyable. There were so many little things throughout the place that no matter where I looked I always found something new. It was a great getaway and the place is almost out of some fairytale. I would totally go back and recommend people to visit.

Response from the owner Thanks Mike for taking the time to review...I so appreciate it. glad you enjoyed the is my intention for people to feel something that is "out of some fairytale" that brings me a lot of joy!!!! Come back anytime it works for you and thanks for leaving the house so respectfully clean. Best wishes Suzanne

“beautiful and magical house”

Reviewed 1 Nov 2016

this was a great choice for our honeymoon. it's beautifully crafted with a ton of character and lots of natural light. it feels private and tucked away, but is close enough to town for dinner or a grocery run. it was magical, we'd totally stay here again!

Response from the owner Thanks so much for taking time to review Forest House. Come back anytime it works for you. Suzanne

“One of the most peacefull vacations ever.”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2013

Spending time in the massive trees with a view of Puget sound in such a unique house was incredible. Just wanted to sit on the deck and enjoy. Never even considered if the TV worked, as enjoying the incredible views used all of our time. What a peaceful way to spend our 25th anniversary.

“Heaven among the trees”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2013

We enjoyed a unique, romantic, secluded, memory-making experience in this adorable "treehouse." Orcas Island is a quiet, relaxing island with fishing, whale watching, bicycling, hiking, delicious restaurants and gorgeous views. At night, we enjoyed grilling the salmon we caught on one of the treehouse decks and laying in bed looking up through the skylighted ceiling watching the stars and the forest. Heavenly! The tub is a little challenging to maneuver, but we've never seen one like it. Certainly a place we would revisit again to enjoy the comfort and uniqueness.
