Snuggle Bear Cabin Big Bear Lake - Close to Trails

The cutest cabin in Big Bear Lake - perfect for 2. NO PETS POLICY!

Right next to mountain biking trails, across the street from Golf Course, quick walk to Big Bear Mountain Ski Resort!!

Swiss chalet style wood cabin with modern appliances, high speed Wifi, microwave, oven range, stove and refrigerator , blu-ray DVD player with flat screen TV and Cable.

You'll love the feel the cathedral ceilings and windows that look upon the Pines. The pannelled wood walls and knotty pine stair case add the right amount of woodsy mountain feel. You'll enjoy relaxing in front of the Swedish wood burning stove with the ones you love. Cook up a meal easily as the kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and basic spices.

One downstairs bedroom with Queen size bed with memory foam orthopedic mattress (disclaimer - not everyone is a fan of orthopedic mattresses), mattress feather top and feather comforter. Closet to store your clothing.

Upstairs the loft is the perfect place for lounging and watching DVD movies. We just added cable TV with 125 channels (including 2 ESPN, Bravo, and AMC Movie, etc). The loft is cozy and carpeted and offers a queen sized sleeper sofa, another perfect place to sleep and wake up to the beautiful sky views from the cathedral windows directly across from the loft. The bathroom is remodeled with new sink, toilet, and shower.

The cabin has a small backyard area ideal to catch the morning sunshine, front porch, and a small level drive way for up to two cars. Snuggle Bear thankfully doesn't have steep outside stairs or driveway, making is ideal during the icy seasons.

Location - Ideally located near Big Bear Mnt Ski Resort, Big Bear National Forest is across the street, Big Bear Golf Course across the street, Big Bear Village and Big Bear Lake is 5 minute drive.

“Perfect for snuggling”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2017

We loved it and will absolutely be back! This is a perfect cabin for a getaway for 2. It was clean, warm, cozy and close to town!

Response from the owner So happy to hear it! Yes please come back and visit Snuggle Bear - it's beautiful in the summer too.

“Fun cozy times”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2014

As a writer, I wanted to test the notion of working in a cabin in the woods. So our family rented the cabin for three days. My kids and husband went off to do outdoorsy sports, while I stayed back. I did write! Our stay here was fun. It is a cozy space and the most charming cabin you'll see in Big Bear. The best thing is that it is very clean, cozy, updated, and has all the modern amenities you need for glamping. The bedroom is compact but modern and well-appointed. The loft is charming. Perfect for an adult or two kids, with its pull out couch and TV. (There is no cable so bring your Dvd's) The lounge/living area downstairs is small but well-planned. Buy self-burning logs from walgreens nearby for the fireplace and play board games the cabin has. The kitchen is well equipped (basic plates/silverware/ pots n pans/ oven/fridge/microwave/coffee-pot) so you don't have to eat out all the time. We even made smores! You don't feel isolated as this is not a remote cabin it is in a street with lots of other cabins. The only issue is you have to take your garbage with you when you leave--I think that mite be a Big Bear thing. Another is the staircases decorative log side seems a bit flimsy, so hold on to the wall side. All in all, I would really recommend this cabin.

Response from the owner Thank you for your review! I especially LOVED the picture your daughter drew of your family at Snuggle Bear. LOL that was really cute! - it's posted on Snuggle Bear's FaceBook page. Thank you again and good luck with your book!

“Great place for a couple or three people to stay”

Reviewed 31 Mar 2014

My wife and I just spent a few nights at Snuggle Bear Cabin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was comfy, very clean, and modern/well updated. The kitchen was well equipped too with a regular size fridge, gas stove/oven, microwave, dishes, silverware, toaster, etc. One can stay connected too as there is a very fast wireless connection (quicker than my own at home!) I got about 40-50 Mbps. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom is excellent as well. There's a nice deck in the front of the cabin that we used to enjoy the crisp air while enjoying a glass of wine. There was a small glitch upon arrival, but the housekeeper/local manager resolved this very quickly. Also, it was great the owner emailed me a couple of hours after I got home acknowledging the glitch (and noting it will be promptly taken care of) and wanting to know if my wife and I had a pleasant stay. Regarding location, it's on a side street off of a busier road. For golfers there's a nine hole course less than 1/2 mile away. It's only about a 2-3 mile drive from the "Village" area of shops and restaurants. There's a Walgreens drug store, a bar and grill, and a a sandwich shop only a mile or so away. A few quick suggestions for the owner to consider: A. Consider installing a Roku 3 media box or appletv on the upstairs TV as the wireless internet connection is excellent B. A box or two of kleenex in the cabin would be great C. A grill would be an excellent addition (owner advised this will be purchased by this coming summer) I can't wait till my wife and I can stay again later this year for a a couple of quick getaways. I plan on recommending this cabin to other couples too.

“Beautiful Cozy Cabin in a Great location !!”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2014

I recently stayed at Snuggle Bear Cabin and it exceeded all of my expectations. I have been to Big Bear before but this was my first time staying at a vacation rental. I am not the best with directions even with a GPS, but finding the cabin was a breeze. I love how the owners installed new windows and doors with the red trim it really made the cabin stand out in comparison to the others on the street. We went down to the local store, picked up a few food items, and firewood which I highly recommend for the fireplace in the living room. The cabin had all of the essentials for cooking which was great since we didn't want to go out to eat for every meal. It is very cozy and the décor felt very much like home. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly so I was able to do some work while relaxing. It wasn't snowing when we stayed, so we went on morning hikes and walked around Big Bear Lake it is gorgeous!! The Village area had installed large fire pits along the shops and restaurants which came in handy while walking around at night. It definitely added a romantic touch. Overall my I had a great experience at Snuggle Bear cabin and I highly recommend going year round.

Response from the owner Thank you for reviewing Snuggle Bear! Happy to hear you enjoyed staying at our cabin. We look forward to your next stay!! - Melia
