“Cozy, clean and comfortable”
This duplex was a great place to stay. The beds were comfortable the rooms were emacutant. Great location so close to dowtown and the interstate. My 3 family members had plenty of room to spread out and have their own space. I will defiantly stay here again!
“Downtown Location Gem”
My wife and I visit the asheville area each fall and enjoy staying close to downtown. This duplex is extremely convenient to downtown and the Kuai's were wonderful hosts. They even had some sweet goodies waiting for us in the refrigerator upon arrival. Since this is a duplex, the Hvac controls are not located on the rental side but the Kuai's adjusted the temperature for our needs during our stay. The duplex has a large sunroom on the rear of the house that does get warm during the day. We had to utilize this room's window aC unit for it to be comfortable. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. The bathroom only has a small shower available for use. It would have been a plus to be able to utilize the bathtub. I hope that the Kuai's will make this available in the future. We are College football fans and not having the Espn sports channels available were a negative. But, we just went downtown to watch the games on Saturday. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the Kuai's duplex and they are very nice hosts.
“Good home base”
Two friends and I came down to asheville for a girlfriend's getaway. Just minutes from downtown (1 quick highway exit)this house had 3 comfortable bedrooms, lots of light in the spacious sunroon, new harwood floor through the main part of the unit, and piece and quiet while an easy distance to the hustle and bustle. The owners were very friendly, brought us cookies, supplied maps and pamphlets to attactions. There were a couple of burned out lights, but as soon as we let them know they came and replaced them right away. Note for tea drinkers, there isn't a stove and while there is a coffee maker and a microwave, you might want to bring an eletric kettle.
“This house rental is so very peaceful and beautiful!”
We stayed for almost a week, and even though we were delayed in our arrival the Kuai family was very understanding. They are wonderful hosts. The location is fabulous, close to downtown but in a lovely neighborhood, very peaceful. One can walk to stores, even to downtown. The house is part of a larger home but we had privacy, our own entrance; it has many amenities and the all weather porch in the back is beautiful and comfortable. The beds are OK, my husband likes a harder bed and I brought a mattress topper along. There were some issues with the a/c controls but hopefully this will be worked out, we had unusually warm weather for asheville at this time of year. Ceiling fans and screened windows throughout the house are a big plus!
“The Kuai family are wonderfully hospitable!!!”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kuai family's apartment. They made us feel so welcome and the apartment was very comfortable. Every morning we walked down the street to Starbucks :-) We were so close to downtown. It was perfect!!! Very quiet neighborhood close to downtown. We look forward to staying again. Thanks again, for making our first visit to asheville very warm & memorable!
We had a superb visit to asheville lodging in this home. The bedrooms had two queen beds and one had a double (not a twin as mentioned in their writeup). There is also a futon in the living space. They put out fresh towels for our stay and even bought us bananas! There is also Wifi. The kitchen has a double sink, refrigerator and microwave and is equip with dishes and utensils, a toaster, small coffee maker and everything you would basically need minus the stove/oven. There is a starbucks at the end of the street, an Ingles grocery store just up the road and the home is just minutes away from downtown and other areas of asheville. I will definitely be keeping this home on my bookmark to stay in again if traveling to asheville with other friends.
“Very comfortable and clean with great hosts”
The home is in quiet neighborhood and included 3 bedrooms with 3 very comfortable queen size beds with soft sheets and great pillows. We were not planning on cooking... but it only has a microwave in the kitchen. The house was immaculate. The host came bearing gifts of fruit and cookies and were very friendly. We did not have any complaints during our stay. Downtown is just minutes away as was Grove Park Inn. My husband and I took our two elderly mothers who were also very comfortable.
