“Awsome”

Better than the pictures, something out of a magazine. Everything was perfect, just not enough time to enjoy it.

“Just what we needed!”

When we opened the door, we were not disappointed. Everything looked just like the pictures. Very cozy, nicely furnished and private. Our goal was to relax, and we were able to do so very very easily. :) The location is great. Not very far from Floyd, Buffalo Mountain, and Black Snake Meadery. There are some things to do in the area, but not a lot. I found that refreshing. Sometimes vacation locations have to many things to do and it is overwhelming. I would definately come back!

“Exceeded all Our Expectations!”

Reviewed 29 Nov 2013

We booked this rental for a long weekend because we wanted to explore some of the local wineries. From our very first contact with the owner, we could tell that we had struck gold. He went out of his way to provide helpful, detailed information, and even warned us that he had found a hornets' nest by the fish pond...which he then went back and removed when I told him I was allergic. As beautiful as the photos here are, they still don't do the cabin justice! It was the fall so we didn't get to experience the wildflowers, but even in the cool season, the landscaping was beautiful. The owner had taken the time to put out mums and pumpkins, and the koi pond was fully stocked. The cabin has a large front porch with many seating choices, including a hammock. When we opened the front door, we were speechless: beautiful!! Decorated in rich colors with leather furniture, everything was meticulously maintained, with many unique touches. For instance, the light fixtures were made from reconditioned objects, like an old flashlight. There is a large, stone fireplace, and we enjoyed roaring fires both nights. The kitchen is small, but very well stocked. The Murphy bed pulls down from the wall, but it was extremely comfortable, with very nice linens. I was especially impressed by the bathroom: a copper tub, a shower room, a furniture cabinet vanity. Everything was top-notch! Although the cabin is secluded (a plus, in our opinion!), it was an easy drive to explore Floyd, Chateau Morissette, Villa appalachia, and local hiking trails. There is also a local market right down the road. This cabin is an absolute gem, with a thoughtful, attentive owner, and we definitely plan to return and enjoy its beauty in the changing seasons!
