“Great location, price, and host!”
My boyfriend Richard and I stayed at apartment 2 for new years and absolutely loved the experience. The apartment is clean and has everything you could possibly want without feeling too much like a tourist. The apartment is furnished very nicely, the bathroom was spotless, and there is also a personal safe you can use in the bedroom. I have recommended this as a place to stay to friends, and personally plan on returning there.
“Fantastic in all aspects”
There are only positives in this review and I am recommending the flat to family and friends. I would rebook tomorrow if I could. The flat is warm, clean and we'll designed with three adults able to enjoy both privacy and each other's company. We cooked for ourselves with the facilities being more than adequate. The location is more than we could have hoped, it is a five minute walk from the central bus station following the map from Jónas and five minutes from everywhere. We loved exploring the town so we could do so knowing that we could easily stop and recharge are batteries at the flat and start again day or night. The Bus station being handy for trips also. Our stay in Iceland was a wonderful experience with the flat enabling us to relax and enjoy our time there at our own pace.
“Beautiful, perfectly designed apartment”
One of the very best of many apartments we have rented in Europe. The owner Jónas was perfect in our pre-trip discussions and while we were in Reykjavík. The apartment, already of good size, was so well arranged that it seemed many times larger. Only a couple of things could have been better for us visitors: the kitchen sink was a little small and the place to put soap, shampoo, etc., in the shower was on the floor, which was a bit difficulty for an elderly guest. We are looking forward to returning.
A beautiful, very stylish and spacious apartment in the perfect location to explore Reykjavik, only 5 minute walk to Hallgrímskirkja and the town centre. All the amenities you could possibly need, think Jonas has thought of everything. Were particularly grateful of the coffee machine during our gruelling schedule!! And the smoothy maker, which I'm rather partial to. Easy access with a code (Jonas gives you the week before) so no key to loose! The flybus was a little reluctant to drop at a private location at first but as we arrived early hours with 2 children they suddenly changed their mind and became very accommodating, although the main bus terminal is only 5 minutes walk anyhow. Everyone else picked us up and dropped off no problem. The area was nice and quiet so great for that needed sleep! There is a grocery store close to the Hallgrímskirkja (2nd left opposite) which was very handy for our quick turn around meals between excursions and cafe Loki opposite the Hallgrímskirkja where we sampled some local cuisine, and lots of restaurants down the main street, We went to cafe solon which was lovely and not too expensive. Would highly recommend this apartment to everyone, very stylish, comfortable, luxury stay at a very affordable price.
“Great apartment and a wonderful city,”
Recently returned from a fantastic break in Reykjavik. The apartment was ideal for us, very comfortable, clean, beds already made up for us on our arrival and it had everything we needed for during our stay. Jonas, the owner, was very helpful before and during our stay, answering any questions we had. The apartment was approx a 5 mins walk from the BSI bus terminal, in a residential area, so even though it was close to the city it was very quiet and the terminal was very handy as a drop off / pick up point. All in all we had a great time and if we are fortunate enough to come back to Reykjavik we would certainly consider staying here again.
“Great apartment, good location, good contact with owner”
We rented an apartment (Apartment 1, situated at Laufásvegur 58) from Jonas, for three nights. As the apartment was only available for those three nights and we were staying 5 nights in Reykjavik, Jonas has arranged two nights in the lovely Hotel Holt for us. The apartment was situated in a nice quiet corner of the city, close to the centre and to the roads out of town. The apartment was quite spacious, well-equipped with everything you need, full kitchen, great bed, television with many channels and Dvd's, some nice books about Iceland, etc. Jonas came by on our first night, just to check if everything was OK. We really liked the apartment, the price/quality ratio, and the personal approach by Jonas, and we would definitely come back!
“Peace of mind, in Reykjavik”
This apartment is literally 5 minutes walk from the bus station that everybody uses to arrive/leave Reykjavik, as well as daily trips around Iceland. It is also a short walk away from the main tourist area of Reykjavik. Jonas, the landlord, was extremely helpful at all stages of our holiday; his office is also only a block away, if you need any assistance. The apartment is warm, bright and extremely clean. I do love the TV at the end of the big bed. Everything imaginable is provided. The perfect holiday. Would recommend to anyone. Rob
“Stay warm in Iceland”
We had a four day break in Reykjavik, principally to see the Northern Lights. The apartment was perfect: close to the centre of town, so easy walking to most sights; nicely furnished and warm, so we could eat in or out as we fancied and with good free parking as we returned from our trips to see Iceland's spectacular scenery ... and the Northern Lights - simply brilliant.
“Best place to stay in Reykjavik”
After seeing all the reviews with 5 stars; we were excited to see what the apartment would be like. It absolutely lives up to all these great reviews. We couldnt agree more. The apartment is fantastic and is exactly what you need if you are looking for a place to stay that isnt a hotel. Its location is perfect - 5 minute walk to the centre of town in a nice quiet area, 2 minute walk to the main bus station. Its clean, modern and has everything you need. Jonas was super friendly and made everything so easy. He worked round our check-out times so we werent left outside in the cold! We were sad to leave, and will definitely be back to stay again when we return to Iceland.
“Excellent Downtown apartment!”
Apartment #1: This is an amazing aprtment, located in downtown Reykjavik. The apartment is immacualtely clean, with all modern ammenities. Large ceiling-to-floor windows in the Kitchen, and Living Room areas provide abundant amounts of light. Kitchen is quite spacious, and has plent of counter space for preparing meals. Bathroom is also spacious, with a great geothermal water system. (Newcomers to Iceland: almost all hot water is geothermal. Some people love it... but, some people "dainty" tourists can't stand the natural "sulphur" qualities.) Bedroom faces the rear of the property, overlooking the backyard. Bed was quite comfortble, and provided quiet sleep. Electronic front door locks, on ground level, make entry easy. Location is amazing. Centrally located to everything in downtown. 5 minute walk (uphill, with luggage) from the B.S.I. bus terminal & Keflavik International airport Flybus shuttle. 15/20 minutes (downhill, with luggage) to Reykjavik Domestic airport terminal. 5 minutes to Hallgrimskirkja, then a few minutes more to the main shopping street of Laugavegur. I would highly reccomend this apartment to anyone travelling to Reykjavik, and will definitely stay here again on my next trip back.
