“Heavens Island a forever memory we just have to go back!”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2014

Escape to heaven on Sanibel Island, the answer for every traveler. Who doesn't want to be on a tropical Island? Everything is precious, each shell and even the light has a different quality. My husband and I are designers and we appreciated the quality of the condo. The interior and the lush grounds were impeccable, it was spacious and had really everything for us. The benefits to us over a hotel stay were huge. We felt we were in a home. The beach theme was right in tone with the way we felt. Fun and unique to the island were local shops, The bubble café for dessert and Wake up Café. The staff in the office by the pool had all the answers about our needs and the island. We made new friends every day on the island. We were welcomed into a Church service on Wednesday night. We paddle boarded and were enthralled by the birds on the island. Our girls age 12 and 13 were busy, safe and free. They enjoyed the pool as much as the beach. We collected cat paws and learned about all the shell names from a puzzle in the condo. Books, games, puzzles, beach stuff, was all there to use. The beds were wonderful and we are really picky about a good night's sleep. Like Hawaii there were occasional brief showers and warm sunshine that followed. A vacation is to get away but still have the benefit of home. We had both there in this lovely condo owned by our dear friends. Take the time to visit and really recoup, drink in the light, dance in your dreams, and be merry every second of your trip.

“Lovely condo with all you need for a perfect vacation.”

We arrived late at night and were told where to find the key, a very easy process. The condo had everything, including my favorite shower ever! (It's big enough to hang your towels at one end so you don't step out until you are quite dry.) Kitchen had everything one would need, and all easily found. Dishes are pretty and great sizes. Full size fridge so we ate all of our meals in. We rented bikes, delivered and picked up at the bike rack just down the path, and rode all over, including through the nature preserve several times. We appreciated having a local phone and answering machine. Would go back in a second!!!

“The Best Vacation Ever”

The first thing we noticed were the lovely landscaped grounds and how well kept and spacious everything was - the pool, the tennis courts, the grill area, and the clubhouse. The condo was bright, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more. We didn't lack for anything. An added bonus was the washer and dryer in the condo. We really appreciated all the beach and pool equipment - chairs, umbrella's, beach cart, cooler, and toys and the books, Dvd's, games and puzzles. Having tennis rackets and balls provided made it easier to play tennis. The beach was spectacular. Each day was a new adventure as would see something new - dolphins, manatees, stingrays, crabs and every kind of water bird you could imagine. We spent hours every day, beachcombing, wading and finding amazing shells and we made sure we returned in the evening for the incredible sunsets, taking along our chairs, appetizers and drinks. We had delicious meals at The Green Flash, Key Lime Bistro, Sunset Grill, Lazy Flamingo, Doc Fords, The Timbers, Traders, and Grandma Dots. Over Easy Café was a breakfast adventure. We rode bikes through the Ding Darling National Wildlife Sanctuary, rented a pontoon boat at Tarpon Bay and took a Catamaran out to Cabbage Key. We also explored the Shell Museum - well worth the time, the lighthouse and fishing pier and many of the wonderful shops. We also went Kayaking on Clam Bayou - not to be missed, so peaceful and the bird life was so abundant. The kayaks and canoes are provided free of charge by the Blind Pass which was another wonderful feature. I should mention, too, how friendly and helpful everyone in the office was. It was nice to have people on sight to ask questions of. It was so hard to leave this amazing place, but we booked for two weeks next year so we really have something to look forward too. It was the best vacation ever.
