Positioned atop a private 19 acre suburban ranch and wildlife management estate (one of the last sizeable acreages in the area), this large picturesque guest cabin is a remote-feeling oasis that boasts comfort and luxury, a natural setting, and wonderful views. Guests enjoy exclusive cabin use, with central access to Austin, Lakeway, Bee Cave and the hill country.

Unlike more primitive settings, the area surrounding this property offers excellent dining, entertainment, shopping, music, hiking and exploring, lake and water sports, golf and tennis, spa and health facilities, and many scenic area wineries. Close-by dining options begin at The Grove, just 1 mi away. Groceries are 1.5 mi. The Bee Cave Hill Country Galleria is 3 mi. The Lakeway Marina and Lake Travis are 4.9 mi. Downtown Austin, Congress Ave, and 6th street are 18 miles. The Hill Country with it's lakes, rivers, parks and springs surround.

Custom-constructed, fully furnished, and tech-equipped, this luxurious Texas lodge-style guesthouse incorporates central HVAC, a filtered water system, full-size refrigerator-freezer, high-speed WIFI, Spectrum cable HDTV, Roku, Apple TV, and washer-dryer. All amenities provided: towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, dish-ware, small appliances, etc.

Polished flooring, a large living area, full kitchen, dining, bedroom, Cal-king size bed, a large dual sink bathroom, and a spacious Roman decorative tile shower comprise the main level. A grand loft with 6 person dining/work table and reading area comprise the 2nd level. Fur, gun and mount displays, a sofa loveseat, a gas iron fireplace, and individual leather seating add further to an authentic Texas feel. Well-arranged tables, desks, and chairs make for excellent workstations during longer term and business stays.

The setting is vintage Texas: 19 acres, gated entry, private drive, scenic views, hand-crafted stone landscaping, and native wildlife...all without having to go off-the-grid at a remote location.


Stays limited to 2 adults over 28 yrs old. No pets.

Owners separately reside on the larger property and check-in all guests.

To preserve cabin cleanliness, only beverages, fruits, salads, sandwiches, cereal, snacks, pre-prepared, frozen, pick-up/take-out, and nominal (light) cooking/warming/microwave usage is permitted.

Balanced perfectly for couples, this luxury accommodation is an excellent base to explore Lakeway, Austin, and the surrounding Texas Hill, Lake & Wine country. It is ideal for short or long-term stays, for anniversary trips, weekend escapes, local exploration and tours, or to visit area family and friends. Business travelers receive reduced rates for repeat stays.

The cabin is immaculately kept. Comfort, space and privacy, bird and wildlife observation (from the interior and exterior), high-country sunsets, starry nights, patio rockers, breezes, strolls, and panoramic views (with morning coffee or an evening bottle of wine) are among guest favorites.

Beyond the property, exploration and sight-seeing abound. Opportunities include hiking, parks and recreation, dining out, shopping, wineries, craft beer, BarBQ excursions, golf, music and concerts, downtown Austin (to observe the history, museums, State Capital, UT, Congress, 6th St, etc) and adventures into the Hill Country (for spring wildflowers, fall color, quaint towns and villages).

Lake Travis boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing, fishing, paddle boarding and sailing are all easily accessible via rental from the Lakeway Marina, 5 miles away.


Perhaps the best thing about the cabin is that it's location on a large estate makes it feel almost "off-the-grid", while nearby dining and other attractions confirm it is not. In this way, the cabin combines the best of remote hill country beauty and privacy with the conveniences and amenities of Lakeway, Bee Cave and Austin.

Upon entering the private main gate, the cabin is accessed via winding private drive, over seasonal wet/dry pond and creek, through fields and trees, then up a hillside with scenic views, guest parking, and outdoor hand-crafted stone walls, trees, landscaping and flowers.

The property is managed and overseen by an owner and resident team that care about the outdoors and all those that visit. Guest comfort is made a priority by all.


The cabin offers visitors a storybook Texas hill country feel (peaceful, independent and cozy), combined with wonderful lodge-style wildlife and mountain decor.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by a large main living area with high-gloss floors, stonework and area rugs, an antique-style gas iron fireplace (with instant "on-off" and operational 11/30 to 3/1), comfortable leather seating, separate sofa love seat, beautiful high pine wood ceilings, and various decorative guns, furs and mounts. Views through the panoramic windows are inspiring, peaceful and relaxing. Close-by feeders offer observation of birds, hummingbirds and wildlife from the comfortable interior.

A granite kitchen, large custom 2 sink bathroom with king-sized walk-in tile shower, 2 separate shower heads and seating, and cozy private bedroom add to a luxurious, charming and spacious feel. The decorated stairway, artwork and 2nd floor grand loft above--which overlooks the main living area below--allow for even more space to relax and enjoy. The loft boasts a large 6-person table for dining, work or small gatherings.

The cabin is outfitted with a Main Room 55" wall-mounted LED Cable HDTV, bathroom Cable TV, free high-speed WIFI throughout (allowing use of a tablet or laptop for bedroom reading or personal TV), and convenient work-spaces on 2 levels - all of which allow guests to check-in with the world, home, and office without missing a beat. A perfect place for TV sport watchers also.


Downtown Austin, Zilker Gardens, The University of Texas, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the Texas State Capitol complex are all within 15-20 mi. Austin Bergstrom International. Airport is 25 mi. The Lakeway Marina on Lake Travis is 4.9 mi. Lake activities are enjoyed year-round. Golf courses (including Falcon Head, Flintrock Falls, Yaupon and The Hills), as well as the World of Tennis facility, are all within 5 mi (Flintrock Falls is across the street; check with each to determine eligibility). The Lakeway Regional Medical center is 5 min away (out of sight, but there if you need it). Groceries, dining and shopping are within 2 mi, and the Hill Country Galleria and Whole Foods are within 4 mi.

Day trips to Fredericksburg (1½ hrs), Marble Falls, Johnson City and the LBJ Ranch, Wimberley, and New Braunfels afford great opportunities to explore the wider Texas Hill Country. Longer term guests often venture out on the hill country trail, visiting historic towns, quaint shops and wineries - returning each evening with new discoveries and great Texas folklore.

For water-minded guests, Lake Travis, the Lakeway Marina and the Lakeway resort pools are close (4.9 mi), the water is clear and clean, and the views are wonderful. Lake access is usually free (or the charge is nominal). Lake activity options (boating, paddle-boarding, jet-skiing, sailing, fishing, etc) are endless. Watercraft rentals are available by the hour with easy reservation procedures. Access to the Lakeway resort pools (with poolside food, bar, etc) is usually secured with the purchase of a short massage or spa treatment there. Last, but not least, our beautiful area springs (Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool, and Barton Springs) are literal oasis's, presenting yet another incredible water recreation opportunity. Considering these (via web search), then contacting and taking advantage of them will deliver the best water recreation to interested guests. No home pool could ever compare, and the property does not maintain a pool or hot tub.


ALL INQUIRIES should expect a request for additional info (to include 1st names, location, purpose of stay, and activities intended) before formal processing can occur.

We are a private ranch estate. Upon arrival all entrants must (1) check-in with owners and (2) sign a claim release and indemnity form. Guests who object to this, or who are unwilling to identify themselves (name, address, cell, email) upon booking, or who dislike fur, gun and mount displays, wildlife and/or the outdoors, should stay elsewhere. No check-ins after 9 PM.

No visitors beyond the 2 booked occupants. No parties. Wise resource use required. We conserve and recycle.

Stays beyond 7 nights require:

(1) an additional deposit (TBD by stay);

(2) additional cleaning service and fees.

For those interested in beautiful, well-kept accommodations, maintaining them during a stay, and performing simple pre-departure tidy-up, this is your place.

Getting around

You should definitely have a car in order to fully enjoy all that the area has to offer. Driving is a wonderful experience in the hill country (with hills, winding roads, and beautiful scenery).

We live in a separate residence (approximately 75 yards away) and are available in person and/or by phone or text to answer questions and assist with your stay. We may say hello and chat if we encounter you exploring the property, but otherwise respect your privacy.
