Description

This guest apartment, which comprises the second story of our log garage, can be rented by the night or week. We also welcome longer term stays, offering a significant discount for monthly rental. We are family friendly and children under 12 stay free. Rates: $110/night for 1-2 people, $125/night for 3-4 people, $140/night for 5-6 people. Weekly rate is $655. Our place is located minutes from downtown Hamilton (walkable to town and to the river) in a quiet, park-like setting in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains. The guest quarters features a separate bedroom with a queen bed, plus a large family/game room with two convertible beds, Comfy Sack lounger, fold-up ping-pong table, Wi-Fi, TV and DVD/VCR, Quadra-Fire gas stove, and two opening skylights. Fully equipped kitchenette contains several countertop appliances, dishes and utensils, keriug coffee maker, as well as convection, microwave, and toaster ovens. Under the counter refrigerator/freezer plus separate larger refrigerator/freezer in mudroom. The large bedroom boasts a private balcony, its own Quadra-Fire gas stove, a large sitting area, desk, and through-wall air conditioner. Outside, you can enjoy a patio with table and chairs and a bbq grill. .

There is an exercise room on the main floor of the garage as well as in-door parking for your vehicle. Outside parking is ample. The exercise room features a weight machine with a leg press, flywheel rower, and recumbent stationary bike.

We are convenient to world class fly-fishing, hiking, backpacking, downhill and cross-country skiing, and a host of other outdoor activities as well as some of the finest Wilderness areas in the US.

Hamilton is located less than an hour away from Missoula, a quintessential mountain university town and cultural hub of western Montana, and a few hours drive of Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. In addition to state parks and ski areas in the vicinity, there is also a local ski area with world class snow 45 miles south of Hamilton.

We live on the property, but the apartment is totally separate and private. We provide a garage door opener for guests and indoor parking, so you may come and go in privacy. We do enjoy interaction with our guests and are happy to provide suggestions for nearby hikes, restaurants, and activities. But we are also respectful of guests' wishes, so will respect your complete privacy if you want.

House rules

We ask that guests treat our place as if it is their own; -we don't charge a cleaning fee, and have found that our guests have been very respectful of our place, leaving it basically as they find it. We have a mudroom available for you to take off muddy or dirty shoes or boots, and to keep your gear, such ask ski equipment, fishing poles, etc. Please, no late night noise./partying. Very strict no pets and no smoking policies. Thanks
