Any facilities provided by the Park on site are completely out of my control as I am sure you understand. They may or may not be available during your stay but local facilities are generally good in the area with local shops, cafes and bars which may also be subject to restrictions due to the Pandemic. Thank you

“Fantastic Lodge and Surroundings”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2021

Just returned from a fabulous week staying in Debbies super well equipped lodge. Debbies lodge is located in a fantastic location for exploring the local area. The walk down to the beach is literally a stones through away, but you must be of a reasonable fitness to tackle the walk back up. Most people however should mange this without any issues. There are many local amazing beautiful beaches on your door step or the location can also be used to venture deeper in to Cornwall if desired. The lodge itself has everything you could need and all cleaning and family entertainment needs are more than taken care of. The holiday park facilities themselves are a little bit to be desired but with a family of six including three teenagers, this is not why we decided to stay in the lodge. If you are looking for a well looked after, well equipped lodge in an amazing location, look no further. Also Debbie is super responsive to all enquiries and usually responds with 10mins or so. Thanks again and fully recommend to all.

Response from the owner I am so glad you had a great time and found what is on offer in this wonderful area. Thank you for not deducting due to the park facilities as these do not reflect my lodge or management there of and as you have pointed out are away from my lodge with it’s beautiful outlook. I would be happy to welcome you back anytime.

“Amazing location”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2020

The location of this lodge Is amazing with stunning views from both terraces out to the coast. Sheep bleating and rolling countryside too! The beaches below the cliff just across the road are well worth the steep climb down. Coastal walking is right on your doorstep. Debbie is a great host with a cosy lodge. The beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. Debbie responds fast and goes out of her way to accommodate guests. The View Restaurant 5 minutes walk up the road is a must to visit with a creative menu and dolphins swimming past. Sadly the Fort Holiday Park is in a state of disrepair which is why we deducted a star but this lodge is set well apart from the main park in a private cul de sac. With so much natural beauty to appreciate the park was not of interest to us so do not be put off staying here!

“Cosy lodge with stunning views”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2020

A cosy lodge with amazing location with stunning views. Wake up to bleating sheep. Fabulous scenery for walking along cliff tops, Sandy beaches and through beautiful countryside. Cliff top cafe and The View restaurant both within a few minutes walk for tasty food. The park itself is tired with poor facilities So we dropped a star but the location of the lodge away from the main park, towards the cliff top and beaches was our main attraction.

Response from the owner Thank you for your honest review. My Lodge is offered as a clean and well equipped base to explore the local and wider areas. It is sited at the edge of the Park with the convenience of its own parking space and stunning views. Park facilities are closed at the moment and this is out of my control but there are good facilities locally so I do not use them anyway. So glad you had a great time!

“Great views, a lovely beach and dog friendly.”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2018

Very comfortable lodge with great views. Ideal for a family to stay in. Lovely location to explore and the beach is close. We soon learned not to carry too much down to the beach as with such a steep path it's a tough walk back for tired children and loaded adults alike. We enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again.

Response from the owner The Lodge is set up with families in mind with children of all ages! The beach is accessed via a fairly steep path down the cliff which is very close to the Lodge. Down is easy but coming up is more of a challenge if you need to carry children etc. depending on fitness, not suitable for elderly or infirm. It gets easier as time goes by! Cliff top cafe is a little way down the cliff with extensive menu and stunning views for those not wanting the challenge of the beach!
