“A DREAM COME TRUE”
We are the type of people who always look for affordable alternatives to the fancy hotels and the condo we rented from Anandi was just what we needed. Comfortably spacious and well stocked, No 329 Sunset Cove became our home from home for a week and nothing would have been better. Situated right on it's own beach, it was a three minute walk to the beautiful waters of Grand Cayman. Right on past the exit at the back of the enclosed pool and about 50 yards out, we found the most beautiful reef with a wonderland of beautiful fish and corals. Whilst we had a hired car and toured the island, we could have stayed right there and been completely happy. Well situated in the Sunset Cove complex, we enjoyed nothing but seascapes and palm trees from the top front balcony. The kitchen is equipped to handle a full load, with a supermarket lacking nothing a mere five minute drive away. Of course, the restaurants in close proximity offer top-level cuisine (if that's your thing). This vacation was everything we expected Grand Cayman to be and our decision to rent this condo was spot on. We will definitely go back next year. We returned home knowing that we had had a wonderful relaxing vacation - isn't that what it's all about?
“The ideal place to stay in Grand Cayman - highly recommended!”
Fantastic location, just at the end of Seven Mile Beach where you'll want to spend a LOT of time, however it also has it's own private beach and snorkelling cove right in front (just below the apartment) which was virtually empty the entire two weeks we were there; it was almost like our family's own private beach! The snorkelling there was fantastic and my two young children loved to spend time there on the beach building sandcastles and also snorkelling, fascinated by the marine life. There is also a really lovely swimming pool for Sunset Cove with it's own swim-up bar. Again, not busy and a pleasure to spend time there. The apartment itself is on the second floor (the top floor) and on the end which means it has a very private feel especially as you relax on the balcony watching the sunset or indeed the sunrise! The neighbouring resort is set well back, so you do not feel overlooked in any way. The apartment is very spacious with 3 good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. You can dine inside at the breakfast bar, the large dining room table or the large table out on the terrace and it's great to have that variety. The huge terrace makes the apartment feel even larger and the views from the terrace are second to none! Everything was in good working order, very comfortable and very clean. We used the dishwasher daily and also used the washing machine & tumble drier a few times. The owner was extremely helpful and responded so quickly to any queries I had. Her recommendations for where to go/what to do/where to eat on the island were invaluable and helped us enjoy the island to the max. We had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend this apartment and would happily stay there again.
“I can not say enough good things about this place!”
I can not say enough good things about this place! The owner was always quick to respond to any question/concerns and offered a long list of sites and activities to see while on the island. The location was perfect and the staff was the friendliest on the island. I will start with the location. I had been doing a lot of research before hand on the "best bang for your buck," and hands down this is it. I had seen a lot of places a block from the beach or tucked into packed condos for the exact same price as our beachfront 3 bedroom paradise. The rooms were spacious and the patio is definitely something you should take advantage of. The views can't be beat and it is the perfect place for families or adults looking to have a great time. Make sure to stop by the pool for some tasty food and drinks. All of the bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable about the island and local nightlife. Everything you need is within walking distance or a short bus/taxi ride up the road. That leads me to the transportation. If you want there are Taxi's available, or my recommendation, the bus system. The buses go up and down 7 mile beach and are only $2.00 Cayman dollars each way. They are actually large vans that were never over crowded and usually had a local or two that would suggest some insider tips on where to go for the best snorkeling, eating, drinking and shopping. Don't be alarmed by the honking and flashing of lights, these gestures are the opposite of those in the states, and are used as a way to say - Hi, need a ride? Go ahead, or thank you. I have used the word "friendly" a lot but it truly is the perfect word. In my travels I have never met so many genuinely happy and hospitable people. To sum it up, the Cayman Islands are a must and this condo is the perfect place to experience it all.
“Lovely condo with great views!”
This was our first time in the Cayman Islands and it was everything we hoped for and more. The condo was very comfortable with everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. It had a huge balcony overlooking the beach, with plenty of space for everyone. The swimming pool and swim up bar was very nice, and the food reasonably priced and very good! The location of the condo was perfect and we would walk to a selections of restaurants and shops. The snorkeling in the cove was lovely, and we also enjoyed walking to the Marriot along the beach to snorkel on their reef and use their watersports facilities. If I return to the Cayman Islands I would stay in this Condo again!
“Great location with perfect morning shade and exquisite evening”
The Sunset Cove condo was conveniently located on Seven Mile beach as it is walking distance to the Marriott and Ritz where beach chairs are lined up like a cruise deck! We enjoyed the quietness of our little piece of heaven. The snorkeling is fantastic just in front of our condo. Debbie at the front office was very accommodating and helpful. While the condo itself was comfortable and suited our needs there were a few items to note. Couch was tattered, refrigerator was missing shelfs and there were no rugs and TV and remote were not in good working order. However, with that said, the condo was very clean, quite and had fantastic views from both the dining table and from the very spacious deck.
Response from the owner Dear Brenda, Thanks for your review and we glad you enjoyed your stay! We are sorry that the couches looked a bit tattered, as we had a very busy season behind us that caused a lot of wear and tear on the furniture. However, the couches has now been re-upholstered and looks good as new! I addition we have also replaced the fridge with a brand new one, and also bought a new dining table. The tv remotes are also in good working order. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you back in the near future! Kind regards, Anandi
“A truly wonderful Vacation!”
Wow, what a wonderful location, we had a fantastic time. The corner balcony with more than 180 degree seafront view was a special bonus, and in our opinion makes it the best located apartment in Sunset Cove. It's spacious and includes all the necessary amenities. The resort is ideally situated at one end of Seven Mile Beach and is also within walking distance from Georgetown CBD with its fabulous tax free shops. Grand Cayman has a hot climate so we spent a lot of time in the water, either in the resort's fabulous pool, or snorkeling right in the front of the Condo in the resorts own cove. It was our first time snorkeling and we found the protected waters of the cove the perfect place to learn, and later ventured out to the fantastic house reef just outside the cove where we saw our first turtle! We also enjoyed interacting with Dolphins, Stingrays and Sea Turtles all within easy reach from Sunset Cove; not to mention all the restaurants spread along Seven Mile Beach and the rest of the island. Our two week stay was much to short to experience all Grand Cayman has to offer.
My family and I went to the Cayman Islands on a 2 week holiday for the first time and stayed at this Beachfront Condo by Treasure Island. We immediately felt at home as the holiday feeling became reality and we were taken by the amazing views from the balcony and location of this Condo! The condo was a spacious 3 bedroom unit, comfortably accommodating 6 adults, clean, well equipped and right by beach and close to the resort swimming pool . . . which had a pool bar with amazing food and cocktails! Overall the resort is just the perfect spot for a family holiday and the Cayman Islands is the perfect paradise island destination with plenty of activities for the whole family, beach front bars and restaurants . . . .we just did not want to leave!
