Great location to get away from it all....! Loved the ranch, and feel of property....accommodations are nice and modest, but the privacy away from it all is worth every penny....about a 45 minute drive to Yosemite...which we loved, but, later in the day, the crowd was too much....it was nice to drive 'home' to get away. Leslie was quite accommodating to us.....loved sitting on patio to eat at end of day, and view the vineyard and cattle...and star gazing at night. The Rauch Ranch is quite amazing, on how they keep it going...very hard working in all that they do...
“Beautiful, peaceful, & cozy!!!”
Just visited the ranch over the Thanksgiving weekend, and it was "amazing". Beautiful & peaceful!! Lelsi & Mike were the nicest hosts. Very hospitable. Everything we would need, was already there for our use. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful & cozy place to stay. Far better than the photos portray. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did!!
“Comfortable, peaceful accommodation”
Lesli waa very friendly and helpful in explaining about the local wildlife and where best to view it. We saw many more anilmals and birds at the ranch and surrounding area than in Yosemite. We were able to wander freely around the farmland and visit the pond with turtles. The house was not luxurious but was comfortable with air conditioning and heating available. Nice towels and bedlinen supplied and the kitchen well stocked with all those little bits and pieces like sauces and condiments. Mariposa was a neat town and we enjoyed visiting the mining and mineral museum. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to the area.
“Relaxing, back to nature experience... Like going to your aunts”
Our group of six traveling adults decided to take the adventure of staying at the Rauch Ranch for three days while touring Yosemite. What a fun time! The old house was like going back your aunts house in the country. Roster crowing at dawn, wild turkey, coyote and other wildlife are all within view. Ask for the directions around the ranch because it is truly a beautiful place. Lesli is a great host and makes you feels like family. Great conversation with the Rauch couple in the evening is a lesson in ranching, history and growing grapes. Our trips to Yosemite is a wonderful drive of 45 minutes thru God's beauty and handy work. However, one day we spent the whole day in the Mariposa area and just sitting enjoying the ranch view. To the Rauch family... We say thank you it was a great experience.
Response from the owner John, Thank you so much for taking the adventurous risk of visiting us out here in rural California. We enjoyed your visits and getting to know a bit about you all. Glad to hear you all arrived safely home! I so appreciate your quick response to a perfect review and hope for more happy adventures for the six of you! Happy trails and Blessings, Mike and Lesli Rauch
“It doesn't get much better than this when in Mariposa! Breath ta”
I am so happy that we were turned onto Flip key cause we would have not found the Rauch's. We enjoyed the serenity of the mountains and farm life. The Rauch's were very pleasant and went completely above and beyond to accommodate us. Our son rode a horse and we shot clay pigeons which was so fun for us city slickers. We already miss Lesli, Mike and Romeo...the best dog in the world next to ours :-) It is a short, scenic route to Yosemite from here and you get so much more than those pricey hotels and lodges. Oakhurst is also close by. The house was quaint and clean. It was perfect size for four grown ups and we could have easily fit 5 or 6 people. I feel the photos don't quite depict how amazing this place really is. We were pleasantly surprised and very happy. The land is massive and we can't wait to return to have more time to explore it.
Response from the owner Desi, Thank you so much for the awesome review and sorry this took so long to get back to you. Some how Flipkey locked me out of my account so I couldn't contact you. The pictures were perfect and again hoping for perfect weather on your return stay. Hope you are back to work and things are being blessed. Lesli, Mike and Romeo
Leslie and her family made us feel at home. She makes us gave us a warm welcome and included my family in the activities of her working ranch. It was a real experience and we loved the beautiful scenery. The wine was exceptional, we truly enjoyed the evening on the porch and the relaxing atmosphere. I definately would recommend her sweet cottage for any travelers with a close proximity to Yosemite. Thank you, Leslie, Mike and Michael for the lovely weekend.
Response from the owner Thank you Cindy and Francisco and the rest of your precious family. We had a blast getting to visit with you. Be sure to keep in touch and don't forget the seafood recipe. Mike is in awe!!!! Be Blessed, Mike and Lesli Rauch
