Three Pound Cottage is a picture perfect “chocolate box” thatched holiday cottage in the heart of of Lustleigh,one of Dartmoor’s prettiest villages and voted best village on Dartmoor by the Daily Telegraph.
This Dartmoor holiday cottage is a 16th century grade II listed property that has been sensitively restored to provide all the comforts of modern living whilst preserving the cottage’s historic charm and quirkiness:

Whilst perfect for families looking to explore Dartmoor and Devon, this cosy yet spacious holiday cottage is also ideal for couples or friends seeking a relaxing escape, encompassing long walks on Dartmoor and evenings spent relaxing in front of the fire.
The holiday cottage is in a truly picturesque setting and is often the subject of visiting artists and photographers. Despite being only a stone’s throw from the village shop, tea room and award-winning village pub, there is an array of scenic walks for all abilities literally from the front door. With Lustleigh’s unique location in the Wrey valley you can take in the spectacular views along the famous Lustleigh Cleave one day followed by a relaxing riverside walk the next musing over the thousands of people and cart horses to use the “packhorse” bridges through the centuries – it really is an ideal location for keen walkers and ramblers.
Within the village you’ll find :
• The Dairy – a well stocked shop with lots of local produce as well as all the essentials;
• The Cleave - award winning pub offering a warm welcome, fantastic food in a relaxed and jovial atmosphere;
• The Primrose Tea Rooms – one of the best Tea Rooms in Devon with an enchanting garden;
• The Orchard - for younger guests there’s a children’s play area in the Orchard, a magical place to explore where it’s all too easy to believe in Dartmoor Pixies.

“Very good accommodation in a very friendly and convenient village”
The cottage was clean, cosy and warm. It has a modern kitchen and bathrooms providing a very comfortable evenings after days out in the beautiful surroundings.

“A fantastic stay”
Lustleigh is a very picturesque village steeped in history. The renovation of Three Pound Cottage has achieved a prowess in keeping the original character of this 16th century building and in offering at the sama time maximum comfort. We just loved its decoration and the attention given to each detail. It is such a lovely and delightful place. We have made the most of Michaela and Brian’s personal guide to outdoor activities in Devon. We have enjoyed long and very enjoyable walks in the moor in splendid weather. We are so grateful to have had the privilege of staying in your property. So, many, many thanks again.
