Stay in an elegantly appointed, ecologically friendly yurt set in a breathtaking discovery garden only 12 minutes south of Ithaca in Newfield, NY. Climbing Vine Cottage offers style and comfort with eclectic details throughout. The artistically-designed, fully equipped kitchen delights with nature-inspired knobs and pulls on each cabinet. Lovely hardwood dining table comfortably seats 6. Hutch holds quirky high-quality table service to make dinner parties look great. Master bedroom features full-size memory foam bed for ultimate comfort plus flat screen TV and DVD. Relax in the living room on a White Lotus full-size futon couch (makes a very comfortable bed!) in front of a flickering fire. The yurt stays cozy with a thermostat-controlled wood pellet stove (pellets are provided). Kids love hanging out in the clubhouse/loft area which has two twin beds, down comforters and a dome window for incredible star gazing. Expect to be delighted!

Climbing Vine Cottage is only 12 minutes south of Ithaca but you can do and see a lot before you even get into your car. Explore the wild flower field or play ball on the game and party field. Walk a trail through the forest or hike down to the gorge to see ice carved waterfalls. You don't have to go far to experience the wonder of the Finger Lakes Region. Up the road you'll find great fruit picking and cider doughnuts at Little Tree Orchards or go two miles further and drive through Newfield's Historic Covered Bridge. Climbing Vine Cottage is the perfect spring board for day trips to the Grassroots Festival and the Ithaca Festival, the Wine Trail, our award winning Ithaca Farmer's Market, great hiking and biking, the beautiful Cayuga Lake, the Sciencenter, world famous gorges and waterfalls, Greek Peak, great dining, the Ithaca Commons and international events sponsored by Cornell and Ithaca College. I'm happy to give a garden tour when you come and I can show you which things are ready to harvest in the garden and orchard--in the spring, summer and fall the hens are usually laying eggs so I can show you where and how to harvest them as well! I'm also happy to offer tips and advice for seeing and experiencing the best of this beautiful part of the world!

If Michelle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
