Come enjoy "The best of both worlds". After filling your day with the action of the city retreat to the fresh country air and serenity of this chalet style home, relax on the 1000 square foot deck and take in the best view in town! Sitting on a 63 acre private gated farm on the outskirts of Nashville in the town of Goodlettsville, home of the little league baseball champions of 2012. We are within walking distance of the largest antique district in Tennessee. Rivergate mall, grocery stores and every desired restaurant, historic landmark or shopping experience awaits you within a 5 mile radius. Named after our beloved black and white paint horse "Valentino" who lived to the ripe old age of 30 and reigned over these acres till early 2013. Newly remodeled "Valentio's retreat was once the "early days" home of the iconic Kris Kristofferson. It is loaded with all the comforts of home and some extras! The decor celebrates the spirit of Nashville with music business memorabilia that is from the owner Dana's personal collection. It is 13 miles from downtown Nashville. This is a peaceful place for a relaxing get away it is NOT A PARTY HOUSE.

So happy that we found this place! It was the coziest and most relaxing place we have ever stayed, and it's only a short distance to Nashville. Dana and Jay were very accommodating hosts that respected our privacy. It's definitely a five star place to stay and I highly recommend it. Thank You.

Staying at Valentino's retreat was amazing! Secluded enough to feel away from the noise, but a close drive to local shops, restaurants and stores. Less that a half hour drive to downtown. The property was gorgeous and the owners had great hospitality. Very quaint. Will definitely make another visit soon!

“Idyllic restful cabin”

This cabin was perfection! We travelled from Scotland and stayed here for our second week in the USA. Absolutely delightful accommodation. Desperate to return! The cabin is stylish and so comfortable you don't want to leave. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury base in Nashville. The wildlife is amazing. Turkeys, chipmunks, red cardinal birds and squirrels all entertained us. Loved the donkeys too. All in all a wonderful holiday rental.

This place was in a wonderful setting and was close to many things yet seemed to be "in the middle of nowhere". The owners met us upon arrival and were extremely nice and welcoming. The view was amazing and was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed watching TV with a glass of wine and setting on the massive deck at night watching the 100's of fireflies. (literally, more than I've ever seen) I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is wanting a peaceful retreat away from things yet close enough to do anything you'd like. We got Takeout from the Chef's Market, which the owners recommended, and I would highly advise anyone else to do the same:)

“Beautiful Nashville experience!”

This was our first trip to Tennessee and Nashville, traveling there for a college graduation. We aren't "hotel people" and always like to find a guest house or cabin to rent when we travel. Doing that enables us to have a more leisurely experience by coming and going on our own schedule, cooking our own meals if we desire and enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine on the patio or deck of wherever we stay. Valentino's Retreat was everything we could have hoped for and more! Located as it is on a private estate, it was secluded enough to ensure privacy and that get-away vibe, and yet it was only 15 minutes north of Nashville. The interior of the guest house was very comfortable, spacious and professionally decorated, and the wrap around deck that overlooks the meadows and pastures was peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable. We enjoyed our morning coffee while watching and listening to the bright red cardinals (we don't have these birds in Northern California!) and on our last night there, were treated to the sight of hundreds of fireflies (lightning bugs) in the meadows below! If we have the opportunity to visit the Nashville area again, we will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I booked our stay here to celebrate our anniversary away from the noise and crowds of L.A., and we happily got exactly what we wanted! Valentino's has all the amenities of home plus the beauty of the countryside. It has a great view from the patio, and I enjoyed listening to the birds while I was curled up with a book and my morning tea. When we were ready for adventure, the Opry, Music Row, and the Country Music Hall of Fame were less than a half hour away. What really makes this place special though, is the personal attention to detail. Although we arrived after dark, check-in was a breeze. The ambient lights were welcoming after a long day of travel. I loved the artful decor . . . from the memorabilia to the lights to the little sequins in the shower curtain, I really felt like I was in Nashville. The full kitchen had everything we needed, so we had the option to cook some meals in, and just hang out, watch movies and relax in between exploring parts of the city. All-in-all, the owners were friendly, down-home, genuine people, and they did everything they could to see that we had a good time in their town! We will definitely be back!

We stayed here from 7/19/13 to 7/26/13 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This retreat is exactly what we wanted-it was quiet, peaceful and relaxing and had a very nice deck around it where you could sit outside and enjoy the quiet. You would never know the interstate was just a short drive away where we could get on to go into Nashville or just about anywhere in Tennessee very easily. It was very nicely decorated and had a dishwasher, washer-dryer, a new refrigerator and electric cook stove and very comfortable king size bed with plenty of closet space and nice fluffy towels. Plenty of pans, plates, glasses, etc were also provided. There are a few fast food places to eat close by, but you don't have to drive very far to find a variety of places to eat and we enjoyed cooking and eating out on the deck a couple of times. We drove to Franklin TN a couple of days-the 1st day via the Natchez Trace to Leiper's Fork & then Franklin and the 2nd day to Franklin on the interstate. We enjoyed the tours of the Carnton Plantation, McGavick Confederate Cemetery, the Carter House and Lotz House telling about the Battle of Franklin and would highly recommend these especially if you like Civil War history. Dana and Jay were the perfect hosts-they were just a phone call away if we needed anything, but yet they allowed us to have our privacy. They were both very friendly and made us feel very welcome! We will be returning and have recommended this to our friends and family!
