“Perfect cabin for our couple's week away in Lake Lure!”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2014

Had a fantastic week at the River Landing Cabin! The beautiful cabin was clean and had so many amenities from fishing poles to practically every kitchen item you could imagine needing. We loved the access to the Broad River - a few of us even kayaked to the house from a drop in point near Lake Lure. Not too far of a drive from the Lake or Chimney Rock, we all greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon! Pat was also absolutely wonderful to work with...we will certainly be keeping her in mind when we plan our next trip!

“Great weekend with the grandkids”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2014

River Landing cabin was a great place to spend a few days with 3 of our grand kids. The cabin was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being on the river; the gazebo and the fishing bench were great. We made a fire in the fire pit and made s'mores on both nights we were there. Being close to the towns of Lake Lure snd Chimney Rock was a plus. We found good restaurants and enjoyed a hike to the top of Chimney Rock (the elevator wasn't working). We also went zip lining and hiked and mountain biked at Buffalo Creek Park.

Response from the manager Thank you so much for your review , I appreciate it so much

“The log cabin was special!”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2014

The design with two en suite bedroom/bathrooms, and kitchen/living room in the middle, provided privacy. It was an easy walk to Chimney Rock where we ate breakfast at Medina's, the local cafe that opened early in the morning. The cabin was clean with everything you need, dishes, spices, coffee maker, outdoor grill, etc. Pat lent us her Dirty Dancing video! We would definitely stay there again!

thanks again Pat for a great time at Lake Lure , the only thing about the cabin that would make it better is being our own , always love our time there , will return in the spring , rick , doris and helene

“Average cabin”

Reviewed 9 Dec 2013

Pleasant stay. We found the cabin to be somewhat outdated with regards to amenities. The Tv's were small and oldfashioned with very poor reception. We were unable to receive a clear picture on either one of them. We would have been happier with better quality toilet paper, soap, and tissues for the price of our stay. The magazines provided were a good 10 years old. I would advise the owner to recycle them and update with a few current magazines if any. We did not see value for the cost of our stay.

“Cozy and cute”

So enjoyed out stay at autumn Splendor especially the screened in porch and wonderful view of the mountains. A lovely quiet get a way spot.

“We love four season cottages”

Reviewed 20 Nov 2013

This was my 2nd time staying at four season cottages! We came to lake lure to celebrate bachelorette weekend. Me and my favorite ladies enjoyed the spacious, clean, convientient cabin we stayed in. Pat made it such an easy process and was so professional. We loved playing games, having a bonfire out back and cooking some great meals in the fully equipt kitchen! Great time. We'll be back on our next trip to lake lure!

“Great little vacation spot”

Reviewed 15 Nov 2013

Me, my husband, and my sister rented the Creek Waters Cabin for a week and had a wonderful time. The cabin was spacious for the three of us. The cabin actually will hold up to 10 persons, but with the three of us, we had a lot of extra room to enjoy. The cabin had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our own meals and a huge refrigerator to store plenty of food and leftovers. The cabin was clean and decorated with impeccable taste. The furnishings were very comfortable and made us feel like we were home. Pat provided plenty of linens and extra blankets for cold nights. None of us ever wanted for anything because Pat thought of every little tiny detail that a visitor would ever need. We all loved the back porch deck. The scenery of the mountains were so beautiful that every morning we all found ourselves out on the deck with our coffee and bathrobes regardless how chilly the weather. It was breathtakingly gorgeous and the swings and rockers on the deck made us all feel luxuriously lazy and at ease. The jacuzzi was wonderful to relax after a long day of shopping in the Chimney Rock Village. Lots of great little eccentric shops there and many great products made by local artisans. Our host, Pat Cook, gave us some recommendations for local restaurants and we checked out the Larkin's on the Lake Bayfront Bar and Grill. Her advice was not disappointing. We had a fabulous meal and the view of Lake Lure was lovely and picturesque. I hope to return to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure again someday. If I do, I will stay at one of Pat's cabins...they are elegant, yet with a down-home cozy feel.

“Enjoyed our stay”

Excellent great location close to river, flowering bridge, lake and town. Pat was not only very helpful but went out of her way to make our stay a nice one.

“Renting a cabin in the mountains is the way to go!”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2013

This was my first time renting a cabin. Since we spent most of the day time out in the mountains, we stayed in at night relaxing on the screened porch with cocktails. The kitchen came in handy for breakfast and snacks. The location was perfect. We went to Chimney Rock, Bat Cave and Mt. Mitchell. The scenery is breath taking. I cannot wait to go back again next year!
