CoVid: We have always been super clean, but now we are dedicated to sanitizing all surfaces thoroughly between guests. We will arrange for keyless check-in, and will wear masks if you need to contact us in person.

Once you check in, we will not enter the Cottage, and dirty dishes and trash to be placed on and picked up from an outdoor table. We want to keep you safe!

NB: We have an exuberant 9-month old Golden Retriever puppy. We will try to keep him away, but he loves meeting guests and we cannot guarantee his compliance. if you dislike dogs, this is not the place for you!

COTTAGE: Beautiful one-room 1810 Cottage attached to historic Main House but totally private, with quality linens on the Queen bed, private porch, cozy fireplace and fresh flowers. Pretty private bath featuring a antique claw-foot tub with hand-held shower attachment, spa bath products, toiletries. Hall contains mini-fridge loaded with fresh fruit, cereal, milk, yogurt and a Keurig coffee maker with tea and coffee and freshly baked goods. We offer a complimentary bottle of wine or two craft beers to welcome you!

PROPERTY: Located on 22 gorgeous acres with bridges over Burchs Creek, walking paths with scattered benches, and a hidden creekside picnic area.

The sparkling swimming POOL overlooks the creek and fields, and there are bocce, croquet and badminton sets for your enjoyment.

We also have a fabulous cauldron we use as a fire pit, weather and wind permitting.

LOCATION: We are an honest 25 minutes from downtown Charlottesville, with its charming boutiques, Mr. Jefferson's University and a wide variety of restaurants ranging from farm-to-table trendy to elegant to just plain fun.

We are 17 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, with its many walking trails and breathtaking scenery. Monticello and Ash Lawn-Highland are 35 minutes to the East.

We are just 12 minutes from Crozet, which boasts a gourmet take-out store for picnic items as well as a surprising variety of locally owned restaurants and cafes.

Vineyards? We have vineyards! Sunnybank is literally in the heart of the Western Monticello Wine Trail and we have no fewer than four breweries within a half-hour drive and one a mere 10 minutes away).

ACTIVITIES: Hiking, biking, swimming, bocce, croquet, badminton, visiting vineyards and breweries, exploring Charlottesville and UVA, historic Monticello, Ash Lawn Highland and Montpelier. Or just climb into our shady hammock, open a book and relax!

WiFi: Excellent Wifi connection due to new fiber optic Firefly!

RULES: Alas, no pets or children, though we love both. No smoking indoors, ever. Our guests are welcome to use the gazebo during daylight hours, but it is closed to guests at night.

In chilly weather, guests receive logs for the cozy fireplace daily or may enjoy the fire pit, weather permitting!

PLEASE NOTE: The premises are yours to enjoy during your stay, but no outside guests.

No cooking or food preparation (but you are welcome to bring in picnics),

No coolers in the Cottage but you may put one on the porch and, best of all,

Late check-out time if other guests aren't anticipated!

Our pool is for Cottage guests only; no "pool guests."

We are so sorry this happened to you, but wish to reassure our guests that such problems are truly exceptional! And if you follow the Directions I so carefully send prospective guests, rather than adhering to a GPS which I warn can be faulty, you'll sail here with no problems whatsoever!
