A modern but traditionally styled detached 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath villa set in a half acre plot with a private pool, beautiful terrace, landscaped gardens and lovely views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding jungle. The house is situated a 10 minute walk from the beach and a further 10 minute walk along the beach to Playa Samara. Playa Samara itself is well served by good restaurants, shops, banks and all the amenities you are likely to need for your vacation. There are numerous activities available locally, including fishing, jungle zip-line and canopy tours, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, quad biking, cycle hire and much more.

The house is very well equipped with everything you are likely to need during your vacation. The kitchen is very well equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, toaster/ oven, blender, processor, coffee maker, kettle and much more. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

The house has recently been altered (2019) to extend the roof over the whole outdoor terrace to give a much larger shaded seating and dining area, including the addition of a lovely new 6 person outdoor dining set. A new pool-side sun terrace tiled in coralina (coral stone) has also been installed. The house therefore provides both internal and external fully furnished lounge and dining areas and a beautiful sun terrace to provide all the space for relaxation you could wish for.

Recent internal improvements include a new smart TV pre-programmed for Netflix and Amazon Prime. high speed fibre optice broadband and new ceiling fans in the sitting room and kitchen for improved airflow.

Getting around

As stated, a hire car or other means of transport is recommended in order to make the most of your stay. However, there is a regular bus service (Alfaro) from Samara to San Jose and the SJ airport. There is no direct public bus service from Samara to Liberia airport (it requires a change at Nicoya) but there is a daily private shuttle service. Taxis are readily available, as is bicycle hire for the more active.

Our property manager, Nick, will liaise with you regarding your arrival time in Samara and your access to the house. As well as showing you around the house, Nick can advise you on things to do and places to visit during your stay and can help organise activities for you should you wish.

How do damage deposits work?
