“Great location”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2017

The best 2 things about our stay in this place, were: First, the location of the apartment, which is within walking distance to Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, Museum d'Orsay, and, a ton of restaurants to chose from. Also, just a couple of blocks from a subway station, so you can get anywhere in Paris easily. The second best thing was the owner, who was always very nice to us, keeping in contact constantly, giving us timely and very accurate instructions; very friendly always. One thing you should be aware of is, the apartment is in the fifth floor of a building that has no elevator, so if climbing 5 stories of stairs would be a problem for you (including hauling the luggage), that may be worth thinking about. Otherwise, the place should work out great for a family of up to four.

Response from the owner "Thank you very much. Your positive review makes me happy because I like look after my guests and I am always available to give them some good advices and appropriate service. :-)"

“Central and cosy”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2014

Our family of 5 (kids aged 12, 8 and 5) had the pleasure of staying in this centrally located apartment for 6 night in June. The apartment is located in a very nice, classy part of Paris so we always felt safe. There were lots of boulongeries. Cafe's restaurants nearby. It's right near the Siene,, what a lovely view awaited us when we alighted from the St Michel metro station which is only a short walk to the apartment. This station is excellent and part of the RER network which is good for travel to Palace of Versailles and the airport. We walked to the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, Luxemberg Gardens, Norte Dame. The apartment has everything you need. Not decorated in the latest styles but very clean . The 100 steps were not a problem even for the children, infact they raced up two at a time and waited for us. The many windows had nice views, including the top of the Eiffel Tower. And kept the apartment cool even though it was summer. Also being on the top floor was very quiet . The sofa bed was super comfortable. The only negative for us was the low beam in the hallway on which my 6ft 3 in husband repeatedly tested with his head! For this reason I would look for another apartment, although I am sure I would not find one at such good value in such a good location. After the third day he remembered the beam thankfully! Grey and Manuela were very good to deal with, replying to queries quickly and helpfully.. The price was very good value for this area.

Response from the owner Lovely to hear your words. We are very happy you spent an exciting period in Paris and, specially in my apartment. We will be happy as well to see you and your family again. Thank you!

“Excellent”

Very cozy apartment on the roofs of Paris, comfortable, well equipped, enough space for the 5 we were, clean and very quiet. Terrific location, we were in the heart of the ville lumière, everything was around the corner. And Grey, the owner, is fantastic and very helpful. Highly recommended.

“A little jewel”

The apartment is luminous and quiet. Perfectly located to enjoy the best of Paris and near all transportations. It is perfectly divided to be comfortable and to accomodate 6 people while still garanteeing maximum privacy and comfort. It's the attention to detail that makes it special.

Response from the owner Lovely to hear your words. We are very happy you spent an exciting period in Paris and, specially in my apartment. We will be happy as well to see you and your friends again.

“Simply Perfect”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2013

I recommend this apartment for a great vacation in Paris. The location is wonderful, next to the Seine and close to Plaza de St-Michel, where there are many subway lines, near the Latin Quarter, where you can eat without problems at reasonable prices. A 5 minute walk from Notre Dame, the Pont Neuf, and 10 minutes from the Louvre. The apartment has all the amenities, and despite having no elevator, the stairs are comfortable, wide, and smooth up until the 5th floor. Communication with Grey was fantastic, who gave us a lot of information around the apartment, and the instructions for renting the apartment. In conclusion, highly recommended for a few days in Paris, living in a typical Parisian house.

Response from the owner Dear Nacho, lovely to hear your words. We are very happy you spent an exciting period in Paris and, specially in my apartment. We will be happy as well to see you and your family again. Kindest regards Grey

“Wonderful experience!”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2013

Great location and great apartment! The 110 steps up to the apartment were manageable, and we were somewhat grateful that they were there as we ate so much, it helped keep the weight off!! Owners were great and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.

Response from the owner Dear Carla, lovely to hear your words. We are very happy you spent an exciting period in Paris and, specially in my apartment. We will be happy as well to see you and your family again. Kindest regards Grey

“Fantastic apartment in the heart of Paris 6th arrondisemont”

Reviewed 14 Oct 2013

Six of us stayed in this apartment for 5 nights as part of a month long family holiday in France and Italy. It was a great apartment in just the best location. I think the 6th arrondisemont is the best place to stay in Paris and this apartment is smack bank in the centre of it - and 5-15 mins walk from Notre Dame, Saint Chapplle, Lourve, Latin Quarter, Les Halles, The Islands. The apartment is in a historic building in a narrow street with highly rated (Lonely Planet, Tripadvisor) restaurants, pastry shops and bakeries all around. You step out from the huge building doors straight onto the street with pedestrians, scooters and cars all sharing the same space. The Paris cafe scene is all around you - each day would start with 'un caffe' at a local bar, followed by 'baguette tradition' and croissants at Gerard Mulot. Later back at Gerard for amazing pastries or we'd try one of the other great pastry shops for a change. Laudaree for the best macaroons down another street and in the evenings some of the best restaurants in Paris were on our street or one of the neighbouring ones. We walked to most of the key Paris attractions and only took the metro for the Eifel Tower, Galleries Lafayette, Montmartre, etc. However even the Eifel can be done via a leisurely 40-60 min walk by the river - very nice. The apartment itself was fantastic. In a historic building with an internal cobble stone courtyard and up a winding wooden staircase - the stairs are tough but worth it when you get to the top. Cute place, comfortable, with all the conveniences and enough space for the 6 of us. The windows even have a view of the top of the Eifel Tower. Dealing with Grey was easy - Grey was very generous with local knowledge and the enquiry and booking process was smooth. We could not have picked a better place to stay in - being located so centrally you just have to walk out of your door to be in the centre of it all. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for your lovely review.

“Terrific location”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2013

The location was good, conveniently close to restaurants, the louvre, river and Notre Dame. You could even see the Eiffel Tower from one of the windows. It's clean and charming, but you have to be fit to climb the 100+ stairs to the apartment. Just a note, the dryer is a clothes airier and the kitchen wear is out of date.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for your kind review, I apreciated your advices and I'll fix it. my bestr regards Grey

“No. 1 Location!”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2013

I stayed with my friends in this lovely apartment for 3 nights. We absolutely loved it. There were 4 of us (two couples). It was a good choice as there were two bedrooms, separate toilet from bathroom and a good size living room. I would like to say that the apartment was very clean what we really appreciated. Yes, there are "few" steps to the apartment but there are so low that I can't see any problem with that. The apartment, the courtyard and the local French neighbours give you the opportunity to experience how French live :)) We absolutely loved the location. Everything was around the corner. We have seen so many things thanks to the apartment location. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Paris one day again. I just would like to say that all the pictures of the apartment on website are accurate and they don't lie. So you really get what you see and what you pay for.

Response from the owner Thank you very much for your great reviews. Lovely to have a guests like you! You are always welcome.
