This 4 BR Country House with equipped kitchen accommodates 10 comfortably. Magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea and Toro Negro State Forest. Located on 13 acres of luscious Rain Forest with hiking trails and secluded pure water rivers, in the mountains zone between Ponce and Jayuya, -- right besides Cerro de Punta, the highest peak in Puerto Rico. Nearby main attractions such as the World’s Tallest Zip-line, other tour sites -- in Jayuya, Adjuntas, Caja de Muerto -- and good mountain restaurants to enjoy genuine puertorrican cuisine.

A truly special place! Rustic & contemporary ambiance, hammocks to enjoy our amazing view, outdoor BBQ facilities for dinners nights followed by stargazing and watching fireflies make the trees glow like the Avatar movie! Two crystal clear river natural pools on the property are our pride and joy! A great place for resting, for a romantic getaway or family vacations.

As you see Caja de Muerto's Island from the house, realize that you are within a 45 mins. drive to the port for a snorkeling trip. Places of exuberant beauty, historic value, nature, adventure and gastronomic pleasures await for you. Hiking, rivers, Toro Negro State Park, Lake Cerrillos and Caja De Muerto’s Island for snorkeling, Ponce city (historic sites & museums) at 45mins drive.

Full bathroom, automatic Eco-Smart water heater (hot water bathroom/ kitchen), balcony and exteriors with BBQ & hammocks. Nearby gas stations, mini-market & great mountain restaurants. Many tourist attractions, museums & natural treasures within reasonable distance.

Our amazingly beautiful river features natural pools so crystalline that organisms that only thrive in very pure waters are present here! A refreshing swim is in order as long as weather allows.

*It involves a 20 minutes hike through luscious Rain Forest with bird watching opportunity. *This is a moderate activity perfect for people who like to hike, would be at your own informed consent and requires a release waiver signature.

Response from the owner Hi TripAdvisor community! To get to the house you do drive 20 minutes of moderate winding road along the Panoramic Route 143, one of the most forgiving rural roads in the island!. While many people had enjoyed a perfect stay in our mountain house -- even when it rains -- on this occasion severe tropical depression conditions caused major rains in the area along with electricity failures. This messed up our water heater, some light bulbs and even created a leak in our kitchen wall. When housekeeping prepared the house early in the day, everything was working properly, but later weather deteriorated to the point of even causing an overflown river, which completely halted traffic along the main road. During the night, the guest reported a leak, but expressed to be fine and to "not worry" (didn't report it getting into the master bedroom.) Though, because of the report of a leak and the heater not working properly, OUR HANDYMAN (MANUEL) WENT TO THE HOUSE THE NEXT DAY. Unfortunately, the spare parts to repair our water heater model would take a couple of days -- something that was out of our control. As well, the leak was not possible to fix immediately (but it is being addressed). About our stove: It works fine and was sold to us to be manually lit; We provide long kitchen lighters or matches for that. As well, we've never received any complains about the microwave. Had the guest reported the light bulbs that got damaged we would had advise about the spares we keep there. In summary, we had always try to go above and beyond to provide a satisfying experience to our guests and count with over 40 excellent reviews under our belt trough different websites. Sadly, this time the circumstances weren't in our favor to resolve the issues immediately and we are very sorry that this guest went through these inconveniences.
