Nice apartment with all the facilities. The house is very comfy. The location was perfect no too far to the city. Although, our trip was for australian Swimming Championship, we really enjoy travelling to Brisbane aquatic centre every time. The owner of the house Lyndon was always very keen in help us.
The apartment has a great location on New Farm, close to everything one would need: restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, good pubs with local crafted beer, wine bars and fresh groceries. Walking distance to the CBD if you do not choose to take the Citycat along the Brisbane river or take the bus from Mertyr Village. The apartment works perfectly and has got what you need for a longer or shorter stay. The complex (Nolan Court) is located in a quiet area and there is little noise even if you are close to Merthyr Road.
All was perfect. Great having laundry available. Easy to contact host. Not great for anyone who cannot manage stairs.
“Fantastic little pad, great location, and feels just like home.”
Easy check in, homely feel, close to a cute little shopping village, comfortable bed, immaculate condition, would certainly stay there again and recommend to friends.
We stayed in the apartment for a month and really enjoyed our time in Brisbane. The apartment is light, spacious and perfectly located; very close to the shops at Merthyr Village and near a busstop. The kitchen comes fully equipped; it has everything you need, though there are a lot of nice restaurants around. The park and CityCat are also closeby. Both the bedroom and living room are spacious. The bedroom has a lot of closet space and a very comfortable bed. The private deck was amazing to have since you can open all the doors and let the air/sun in. Fans and the a/c ensure you won't be too warm. Very little streetnoise even though you're in the heart of New Farm. The owner was very kind, helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely recommend staying here!
“Relaxed comfort in stylish location”
This cosy flat was home away from home for 3 nights - wish it had been longer. The location is perfect, a few steps away from some great shops, boutiques, delis and cafes, plus a bus to the city that runs every 10 minutes, and the ferries very close by. Lovely area to walk around. Great to use as a central location while catching up with family and friends. The bed is comfortable with quality linen and the kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. The air conditioner and ceiling fans make for comfort, but my favourite part was being able to fold back the doors and sit outside on the private deck. So much better than being stuck inside a sealed hotel room! Parking is plentiful in surrounding streets as well, surprising for such a bustling area. The owner is very helpful and always quick to respond to any requests.
“What a good, happy place”
I stayed here for six weeks while a visitor at Griffith Uni. The apartment is extremely well located: close to the so-convenient Merthyr shopping village where they have really everything you need: a huge Coles, fruits stalls, very good bakery(!!), newsagent, gift shop, lovely book shop, nice small restaurants close by (Thai, Sushi, Persian (yummy), Australian, breakfast, quaint coffee cum bookshop, you name it), close to New Farm park & the cool river banks for running or sipping a wine while looking at dusk setting in. A Saturday market with local fresh produce once every other week close by next to the Powerhouse. The area has such a happy vibe. Buses stop close by so easy transport into town (bus 199 and 196). Ferry at 800m. I biked around. There is a very good bike shop just around the corner. It is just 2 k to Story bridge where the CBD starts. Bike paths are good and safe and biking (for me) a perfect way to get around. The apartment is stylish: comfortable but not overdone, spacious, with that gorgeous balcony, just the way I liked it. Big enough for two, and you can easily have guests over: enough chairs and all. Very little street noise. Kitchen is clean, handy, well equipped and efficient. Everything is there: salt, pepper, some coffee, tea, oil. Freezer, microwave, oven, etc., all in good order and functioning. Things for cleaning, laundry pins, a washing machine in the basement, iron + ironing board. Wifi super-fast. All very handy. The owner is very helpful and nice. I woke every morning to the beautiful sounds of the australian birds, and watched the odd possum (+ baby possum) scuttle over the railing at night, very cute. To the back you have the neighbours' palms waving to and fro, and at the other side you see the tall CBD buildings in the distance. Will sorely miss this place...
“Great pad in great location”
We really enjoyed staying at Lyndon's apartment - he was great to deal with and the flat is quiet, light and really well located. Thanks Lyndon!
“Relaxing and enjoyable experience”
We had a lovely time at Nolan on Methyr, the apartment was well appointed and very comfortable. It is really well located with a supermarket and food outlets within a few minutes walk. Also within a short distance is a great park for children and the powerhouse markets, and the citycat and city hopper are close by. Lyndon was extremely friendly and helpful, we had trouble with the key safe, but within minutes Lyndon arrived and fixed the problem.
Nolan was a wonderful base for my week in Brisbane and Lyndon was a fantastic host. From helping me take delivery of tickets for the lions game to sorting out things to make my stay smooth and uncomplicated. The apartment was impeccably clean and tidy, the location is superb, only a 15 min walk then 5 min cat ride on the river to the CBD. There were shops 2 minutes away to buy provisions, altogether a great stay.
