- Very Good
The house was cute and comfortable for 2 adults and 4 teens. Sleeping accommodations were fine. Kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the outside table that allowed our family of 6 to eat together. The use of the canoe was a nice surprise. Very comfortable family room. The only drawback was the vegetation growing up to the shore and around the dock. Kids were disappointed they couldn't jump off dock to swim. Not owners fault, dense plant growth all over northern part of lake.
“Cozy and comfortable property in a beautiful location”
A clean, cozy and well equipped lakeside cottage, the perfect base for exploring the Finger Lakes, particularly Cayuga and Seneca. A great location for fishing, hiking, biking, wine and cheese tasting, or just relaxing by the lake!
“OUT OF THIS WORLD!”
This is the second visit at this property and certainly not my last. The property is cozy and divine. The lay out is perfect and the views are outstanding. The owner takes care of the property, the improvements made since my last visit are great, and pride of ownership is obvious. I love the residential setting and the open views. I enjoy waking up in the morning and sit out on the dock to enjoy my morning tea and take in all the views. The neighborhood is great and the people are all very friendly. The property is furnished well - I travel from Europe and the owner offers full laundry services for a modest fee - well worth it. The kitchen has everything you need should you cook at home. The area is nice - there are two nice restaurants within walking distance and the State Park and its beach area are awesome. I recommend this vacation rental ! Thank you again for a nice pleasant stay. The price is very very reasonable.
“Clean and comfy. Like home!”
This cute little rental was perfect for us! Coffee on the back deck in the morning watching the wild life on the water, a grill to make a delicious steak dinner to go with a bottle of wine we purchased and a comfy bed to rest our heads after a day of hiking in Ithaca made it feel like we were at home. It was just my husband and me, but there is plenty of room for family or friends to make a wonderful get away.
“Last Minute Weekend Getaway!”
What an adorable house in super clean condition. Lovingly maintained and beautifully decorated. We decided to participate in the Pre-Holiday Wine Tasting weekend in Cayuga Lake at the last minute. So we were pleasantly surprised at the ease in securing our booking with Mr. Van Leusden. After arriving and meeting a few local characters along our wine tour and comparing stories we were happy to hear that our rental rate was among one of the best values on the lake. The location is very romantic. Our morning yoga was a delight as we took in the breathtaking views out the large sliding glass doors on the main floor. We really liked that food & drinks were within walking distance too. We want to go back in the spring to see the lake come alive! Just wonderful...
“boating was the best”
this house is great the dock sleeping kitchen extra bath well kept the view of the sun set off the deck gas grill its like being home but in place that you never want to leave fishing great or just boating a blast never to much boat traffic can`t wait to get back Cliff ps went ice fishing the year before look at pics
“A property I enjoy coming back time and a gain”
I have stayed several times in this lake property, I absolutely love it. Having been there in different seasons, over Christmas, and New Year, in February when the lake was frozen, ice- fishing for the first time in my life, and in the summer, playing around on and in the lake, gives this property an ideal holiday home all year round. I can't wait to go back again, I just simply love it. Location brilliant close enough to nearby amenities and still able to enjoy your privacy and enjoy the local beautifuL surroundings
“Perfect home away from home!”
Spent a week touring wineries, hiking the waterfalls, dining in quaint restaurants and just relaxing. The house had beautiful views of the lake and wonderful sunrises every day. It was equipped with all of the amenities of home!
Your home has everything we could possibly need! The perfect place to unwind, spend special times with family/and or friends. Fishing is my husbands second love,(I'm the first) and he loves to go out on the lake just to see what he can catch. he loves fishing at the dock too :-). Great restaurants near by, great wineries and one of the most beautiful sun rises in New York. I love just looking out at the water over the top of my book. It's the perfect place for us!
My wife and I really enjoyed the cozy lakehouse on Cayuga. Everything about the house made us want to stay longer. Beautiful view of the sunrise each morning. Nice quiet street and walking distance to the stat park. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you love the water and wineries.
