“4th time at Fig Garden - need I say more?”
This is our 4th time at Fig Garden and our 6th in Kaya. The cottages are simple but comfortable, the location is fantastic - close to the village but tucked away at the same time, having the pool is great if you want to have a lazy day and the hosts, Vicky and Burchin are perfect! We are not the sort of family who necessarily likes coming back to the same place again and again, but Kaya and Fig Garden just have something magical about them that draws you back. Am completely torn in writing this review because we love Fig Garden so much but we don't want everyone to know about it!
“a relaxing oasis set in a beautiful valley”
This was our second visit to Fig Garden, we returned after a wonderful holiday in 2011. We have visited Kaykoy 6 times previously because we love this area of Turkey. The local people are very genuine, friendly and generous and the history of this rural area is very interesting. It is a quiet location but the busier areas of Hisaronou, Fethiye and Olu Deniz are easily reached by local bus. Burcin and Vicky are excellent hosts, very welcoming and helpful. They have a wide local knowledge and are a good source of information. Nothing is too much trouble, they even loaned us their bikes to ride around the village! The cottages share a lovely pool set in gorgeous gardens with plenty of foliage to provide shade from the hot sun. We enjoyed using the barbeque provided with the cottage and found all the facilities satisfactory. We have met many holiday makers in our previous visits to Kaykoy over the years and almost without exception they return time after time. In fact quite by chance on our last visit there was a couple in the other cottage that were staying there the last time we went in 2011. We will be returning to Fig cottage again in the future.
“A perfect secluded location within easy reach of many amenities”
We loved The Fig Garden so much we came back two years running! A beautiful rustic cottage in a stunning location. We hired a car on our second stay as it enabled us to travel around a bit more. Whether you want a peaceful holiday by the pool or a beach holiday this accommodation is perfect for doing either. There is lots to do. We hired our own boat down at Olu Deniz and toured the bays. We went Horseriding in Kaya valley. My 14 year old son took his Padi open water diving course during our stay. I would really recommend a stay at The Fig Garden and Vicky and Burcin and their children are an absolute pleasure to know. Nothing is too much trouble and they have thought of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. This property was a real find and we will be returning again!
“Relaxation, with history on your doorstep.”
A few paces from your delightfully appointed cottage and patio is the banana fringed blue pool where a book, a cool drink and the refreshing dip will while away the time and banish those stresses. Plenty of shade in a well planted garden for those who prefer not to baste to a golden brown. Easy walking to historical sites and the numerous hidden places to eat. Minibus to noise and lights if urgent.
