“Excellent Location”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2014

This loft is in a great location to visit all that SanDiego area has to offer, expecially all the Gaslamp District. The open loft is large and hip. The beds were so comfortable and everything clean. Our only complaint was the city noise. We live in a quiet area and that was hard for us to get use to.

“Awesome Loft In The Heart of Downtown San Diego”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2013

James' loft in downtown San Diego is perfect for the traveler looking for a unique rental. The building is historic and very very centrally located. I left my car, and walked during my entire stay. I was actually pretty shocked at the size of the space, it's huge! Great views, and the interior was lawesome. I felt like I was in Soho. Snacks, drinks and great hospitality were definite highlights. I would recommend this hands down!

“Stay at urban loft is an experience akin to a boutique hotel.”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2013

The moment I saw James and alvaro's urban loft online, I knew it was the perfect place for my San Diego visit. I was searching for a place large enough for my party that provided all the comforts of home. I immediately contacted James and he responded promptly to my request in a professional and friendly manner. I informed him my party and I were visiting and he offered to pick us up at the airport; which was a friendly offer I wasn't expecting. As soon as we landed he escorted us to his Downtown urban loft and upon entering, my first impression was that the beautiful pictures online did not do the place justice compared to seeing it in person. I have traveled extensively across the globe and stayed at numerous places and what I love about most about this urban loft is that one could tell how much thought and attention to detail these two put in designing the place. The urban loft has a funky yet edgy feel without the contrived or pretentious atmosphere that assail so many other places. I felt instantly at home and my party was thankful that I found such a unique place for our stay. Furthermore, their design style inspired me to tackle my home and incorporate some of their design components into mine. As the old adage goes, "Imitation is the highest form of flattery," and although I don't expect to achieve the same atmosphere they created, I hope to achieve one that's similar. Additionally, James and alvaro were so helpful in recommending places for us to visit, things to do, sights to see, and restaurants to eat out at. I especially loved the little outing to Little Italy's Farmer's Market on Saturday. What a charming neighborhood! And the meal James and alvaro prepared for us that evening was mouth-watering and delicious. These two certainly know the good life and conveyed that meaning to the rest of us. They truly were exceptional hosts that made us feel welcome and we soon became fast friends. I will certainly book my next stay at their urban loft again.

“Amazing Loft”

Reviewed 15 Nov 2013

I must say James has done an amazing job decorating this apartment. And James has thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable. You would not be disappointed staying here. James was just an awesome host, he made everything easy and made sure I was a happy guest. The location is very ideal. You are just steps away from the restaurants and shops. You definitely don't need a car once you are checked in.
