“Better than advertised, great location.”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2017

Paul Beyer was very accommodating and friendly. Cottage is very clean and in a Beautiful location. Small quaint towns nearby. We fished each day and did well, nothing like eating fresh trout the same day it's caught. In our 4 days we we're lucky enough to see Black Bear, Eagles, and a lot of Deer. You are in the Mountains, which are beautiful, but make sure to bring plenty of bug spray. 40% Deet is needed. Look forward to returning, and next time will be a longer stay.

“Nice place to get away from the hectic city.”

Quiet and secluded it was a good fit for me, a couple, their toddler and two small dogs. Property its a good size for a small walk in the woods. Storms have pushed the creek away from the back of the house and it's small and not showing any fish, so wasn't able to fish on the property. I'd advise getting your fishing license before you get there. The house was clean and well kept. The frig had a fair amount of condiments in them, so check the frig before you head to town to buy anything. There were enough pots and pans to cook, but we were glad we brought two cooking knives with us. The gas grill on the deck was OUTSTANDING! I give that grill 5 stars. Quiet with a great view of the stars. We took advantage of the fire pit and picnicked while cooking hot dogs over the open fire. The wifi was intermittent, which can be a good thing if you're looking to truly get away and relax.

“Charming”

The cottage surpassed all of my expectations. It was lacking nothing . We briefly met the owner on our 1st day but he made us aware that if we needed anything we should contact him. I don't see how there would be anything that could have made our stay better. I will definitely be back again :).

“Relaxing, Wonderful, Beautiful”

My friend and I stayed May 28th - May 30th and checked out this morning, May 31st. The cottage is gorgeous inside and out! It is immaculate and newly remodeled. The porch is spacious and has a very large patio set and big gas grill. Right in back of the porch is the woods. There is a trail that leads to a picnic table and fire ring. Then, a few steps from that is the river...Incredible! It is so peaceful and beautiful. The land all around the cottage is very large and well manicured. There are beautiful flowering shrubs all along the back of the cottage and even along the side. There is the nearby town of Phoenicia for some sightseeing and Hunter Mountain too for even more activities. Paul, is fantastic! He is right next door and makes you feel so welcome..I highly recommend staying here..I know that I am going back.

“Wonderful experience.”

The cottage is situated on a lovely tract of land on a stream. We have stayed there many times and it is consistently spotless. The owner has recently added a very nice deck that overlooks the stream which is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nature all around. For city dwellers such as ourselves, it is a sublime retreat.
