This period property is a first-floor apartment that is over a hundred years old. It has been beautifully restored and furnished. It is ideal for a family.

The Master bedroom is a bright and spacious room with zip-n-link beds and can be set up with a king-size bed or two singles, depending on your requirement. It has a seating area for you to enjoy the afternoon/evening sun. You might also want to explore the book case with a good variety of books. There is a floor-to-ceiling cupboard providing great storage.

The second bedroom has full-size bunk beds and a double wardrobe. It faces south-west, too.

There is a small but nicely fitted shower room with a sink, corner shower, WC and built in storage.

The lounge is furnished with a sofa that folds down into a double bed. There is a bookcase with books and various games. Wall mounted Smart TV. The feature fireplace houses a coffee table and has mood lighting. The dining area has a round table with 4 chairs. The further chairs are in the large storage cupboard in the hall.

We have a newly fitted modern kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and a good selection of pots and crockery.We provide essentials for a cuppa on arrival.

The apartment is in the heart of Aberdour, just a few minutes' walk to all amenities. Aberdour Castle, an Outlander film location, is 5 minutes' walk away.

For stays longer than 1 week please enquire. Our rates are very competitive and include all charges for up to 6 people. Cleaning charges added for single night bookings are £100.

We do not charge for minor breakages as long as you inform us.

“Great base for sightseeing”

A clean apartment with everything you need. Stayed with my husband for a couple of nights and this makes a great base for the local area. Also great access to Edinburgh via train station. Apartment is small. Lovely, bright double bedroom.

Response from the owner Dear Neil, Thank you for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay in Aberdour. I agree – the village is beautiful, a truly special place. I can only assume your negative review is in response to my comments on the state in which you left the apartment, on Airbnb, the worst I have experienced in over 10 years of managing holiday lets. Your wife booked your 28-day stay for 6 people through Airbnb. The listing shows a floor plan with dimensions and lots of photos and it was made clear that there are only 2 bedrooms and the sofa bed in the lounge would have to be used. Most of our long stays are for four people, however, lots of families of 6 have stayed with us for a week or two and have found the apartment perfectly suitable. Currently we have a 24” TV in the apartment but are considering upgrading this, especially as we have unlimited fast broadband and this would certainly enhance the experience. I am sorry you found it difficult to park. This is very unusual as the apartment is on a quiet one-way street and there are plenty of spaces for unrestricted use. Further copies of keys are always available on request. I live in Aberdour and I am always happy to respond quickly. A welcome pack is provided a standard. In closing I would like to add that the lounge has a 3-seater sofa and further soft seating, there is dining seating for 6 and the apartment does not look onto a council estate. The fridge is of standard size for an under-counter appliance with a freezer shelf. I trust future guests will base their decision on the many positive reviews we have received. Regards, Gertrud
