Description

La Grande Maison & La Petite Maison is the perfect answer for guests who would like the village experience - but cannot find a house of this size, inside the walls of a medieval village - which can accommodate their whole group.

Together, La Grande Maison and La Petite Maison will comfortably welcome up to 8 guests, 4 couples or 8 friends travelling together. The perfect place for that vacation in France, Sablet is a hill top village nestled amongst the vineyards of the Cote du Rhone. Sablet is a living French village with bakeries, bars and some excellent restuarants. Nearby you have the historic villages of Vaison La Romaine, Seguret, Gigondas and Capentras where you can visit Roman ruins, taste the wines shop at the local markets or simply dine out while enjoying the magnificent vista.

La Grande Maison and La Petite Maison are also available for rental together or separately. Rates are provided for La Grande, rates for La Petite are approx 40% of those for the main house. There is a discount for renting both - prices on application

Both have been carefully renovated with a style that combines modern European amenities with old Provence.

La Grande Maison

As you enter from Place de L'Eglise near the Romanesque Church of St. Nazaire, you find rental villa, stylishly yet comfortably furnished with a traditional Maison Provencale character and decor

The wood burning fireplace in the living-dining room, with its rough hewn wood mantelpiece and the heavy wood beamed ceilings says, Welcome to Provence

For relaxation and keeping up with the world, a flat screened TV with Sky satellite reception to receive both French and English speaking channels, DVD, stereo and high speed internet access.

Light, bright and airy is ones first impression when you step from the Living room, through the archway into a sparkling, fully equipped kitchen. Lots of opportunity to enjoy working with the wonderful produce that is so easily available at the many markets within minutes of Sablet.

A curved staircase leads to the upper (split) level with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The Master Bedroom with its own en-suite with bath is located a few steps down from the second and third bedroom level and has windows overlooking the church garden

The second and third bedrooms share a large, full bathroom with a walk in tiled shower, hand basin and toilet.

Traditional wood shuttered bedroom windows look out over the village houses and across to the church lawn and garden.

The terrace is effectively at the top of the village and you can sit down and enjoy 360 degree views of the Cote du Rhone and the Dentelles while partaking of a glass of the local wine

La Petite Maison

La Petite Maison has a completely separate entry and is on the lowest level of the building and provides the perfect pied a terre for a single traveler or two people who would like to enjoy the village life whilst exploring Provence.

Fully equipped with a new modern kitchen and dining, the kitchen includes gas hotplates, electric oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.

Enjoy a cozy salon complete with satellite TV and music system. La Petite Maison has internet access in all rooms and a phone system that allows you to make phone calls to land lines anywhere in the world free of charge.

Sleep comfortably in your queensize bed with ensuite. La Petite Maison is wonderfully cool in the summer and has a large column heater which keeps the whole of the apartment warm in winter

The apartment is just across the road from the secluded church garden, ideal for a quiet cocktail of an evening or a picnic lunch.
