Description
Acanthus is just a few steps away from the market square, and the house is close to all amenities whilst not being close enough to them to suffer noise. You can get to St Chinian by public transport and if you don't want to stray from the village you don't have to, everything can be found locally. A car will allow you to explore the surrounding area, and St Chinian is ideally placed for visits in all directions.
The area around St Chinian is ideal for all kinds of leisure pursuits, be it sportive (cycling, running, swimming, canoeing, hiking, climbing, riding), sightseeing or just relaxing.

The large sitting and dining room on the first floor has windows on two sides and is light and airy. The small Romeo and Juliet balcony is off the sitting room and perfect for sipping a glass of wine and watching the world go by. The kitchen (also on the first floor) is well equipped and the original fireplace adds charm. Bedrooms are on the second floor, where you also have a large bathroom with corner shower cabin, wash basin and WC. The second shower room is found on the ground floor, along with the utility room.

“I can't imagine staying anywhere else!”
I’ve stayed at Acanthus 6 or 7 times now, and will keep coming back to St. Chinian for the people, the village, the vineyards, the markets, the shops and restaurants, and for the warmth and beauty of Acanthus. The house and its furnishing are beautiful, so comfortable, bright, and inviting. And the village has everything that’s needed for a perfect holiday—gorgeous walks, friendly shopkeepers, amazing plat du jours, local wines and cheeses and fresh produce, markets twice a week, oh, and the patisseries…oh my… I keep going back, and can’t imagine going anywhere else in southern France.
