“Our Stay at the Ba”
We really enjoy staying at the Waikiki Banyan room 2814, it is always a great experience and we do feel like home there, since this was our second stay in room 2814. The rugs and floors were not very clean, and it would be nice if a Swiffer wet Jet was left in the room for ppl to give the floors a proper clean if it was needed.
“Condo in paradise”
My review is very ambivalent because although I loved the condo, the professionalism was sub par. When we arrived at the condo, I realized right away that there weren't going to be enough towels. At first, I thought there were only 2 bath towels. I was travelling with my two young daughters. I called the number they gave me to call when I first arrived to inquire about the towels. The lady ended up hanging up on me after she told me that I woke her up! It turned out that there were 4 bath towels - plenty of the smaller towels, but only 4 bath towels. Also, I wasn't informed that we needed to provide our own beach towels and that the towels that they provided were the towels for the duration of our 10 day stay. Needless to say, I did request for more towels & they were dropped off two days later, but not after a fight with a rude lady whose sleep was disturbed. The shoe closet they had in the living room was broken too. Also before my final was due, they charged my credit card without authorization. It's such a shame, because I loved the condo. It was nice and comfortable and quiet and it was in a perfect place. I just don't think I would rent from that company again because of their lack of communication and professionalism. Some companies do not realize that customer service is so important. I hope they get their act together.
We booked with Hawaiian Paradise Retreats, they were great to deal with! but when we got to hawaii with 2 kids ~ they double booked and had given us wrong room, they were quickly on it and found a new place for us ~ The Waikiki Banyon!! I was very impressed with their customer service!! iI would so rent there again!!!
This was a great location and we had wonderful views from our unit. The beach, stores, and restaurants are all within walking distance. Our unit came with a parking pass (we rented a car to visit other areas of Oahu) which was great, although the garage can get congested. First night the AC made so much noise we could not sleep and it did not cool well. It was replaced the next day. Stove and area around it was dirty and the kitchen was not well equipped. With some modest additions and better attention to thorough cleaning, this could be a 5 rated place.
everything was great love the banyon
“Terrific Vacation Rental!”
This unit was the ideal vacation rental for us. It is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops yet easily accessible from Kuhio Ave for an easy in-and-out by car. As always with the Banyan, parking is plentiful and convenient. The unit itself was renovated very nicely, it has a large family room, brightly lit galley kitchen and large en-suite bathroom conveniently located through the bedroom. The view from this unit cannot be beat, the beach and ocean can be seen though the bedroom window. You cannot go wrong booking this unit with Hawaii Paradise Retreats, they handled everything from beginning to end, I am truly satisfied.
“Nice place to stay”
Great view and good location. My only complaint would be is the air conditioner was broken and could not use at night due to the loud noise it made which made sleeping uncomfortable. Over all though was happy with my stay and would come back.
“Pool and Deck Closed”
We rented this property last year and loved it. But this year there was tons of loud construction the pool was closed part of our stay tennis courts were closed and our Lani was not available part of the time. We were very disappointed no one warned or informed us of these closures ahead of time, our room fee was not reduced we were very dissapointed.
“Great location, but in need of TLC”
I was disappointed during the booking process. I emailed the dates I wanted to stay to see if they were available, and received a prompt response. Then talking with my husband we thought we would see if we could stay longer and emailed to see if new dates were available. The quote in response added an extra charge for extended reservations which is strange considering I hadn't even booked yet! They did give me a slight nightly discount due to the amount of days we were staying, But the additional reservation fee left a bad taste in my mouth. I love the location of the Banyan, and the views from this suite, we have stayed here before about two years ago. The pull out couch is in desperate need of replacing, there is no way an adult could sleep on this bed. The suite in general is in need of a small update and TLC. While we were there they were doing repairs to the building, which is by no means the fault of Hawaiian Paradise retreats, but the fact that we were unable to use the lanai or even open the sliding glass door made for a disappointing stay. The tennis courts were also closed. I would think that this sort of disruption would be cause for a discount in stay. The cleaning staff were very kind, bringing extra pillows promptly when I informed them none were present for the pull out bed. In general, it is a great location, and I would return once updates are done.
“Great place to stay”
Great view great stay. The unit needed alittle TLC.... The curtains weren't in the best condition, some of the outlets were hanging off the wall, the sliding glass door was hard to open and close and the AC unit made a loud noise at night. I'm not a picky person but I could see how those little things could bug some people. I did call about a runny toilet and was told they would come out on sat to fix it but came instead on Monday and replaced it all together. Overall it was a great trip and I would recommend this place to friends and family.
