Description
An extremely comfortable cottage which gives you a chance to enjoy the rural French scene with a working farm close-by and with a private pool with wonderful views onto open pastureland .
It is well equipped and is within easy driving distance of Najac and about 30 minutes from St. Antonin Noble Val , both of which are magnificent medieval towns retaining all their wonderful architecture and charm and yet remaining unspoilt by the passage of time. Villefranche is reached in 20 minutes and apart from a popular Thursday market, provides all your needs for in-house catering.
Like many properties of this style there are low beams and steep internal staircases .

The property has been carefully restored over recent years, ensuring that many of the original features such as exposed and dressed stonework have been retained. The main living area, on the first floor, has a dining area, some lounge seating and kitchen. There is a bedroom on this floor and a further two bedrooms on the second floor.
Entry into the property is at ground floor level where, off the hallway is a shower-room and separate toilet. The staircase leads to the large dining and living area and at the top of the stairs there is a double bedroom to the left.
The main accommodation is delightful and comfortable for 6 people and comprises of a fully fitted kitchen with a dining table, sitting area and an adjoining ‘souillard’ with a vaulted ceiling and ‘evier’ reached through a stone archway. There is a small balcony ideal for breakfast in the morning sun or aperitifs in the evening!
There is a TV, video player with a selection of videos, a CD player and plenty of books and some indoor games.
An open staircase leads to the second floor which has been beautifully remodelled and renovated for 2020. A large living area which also has a bed leads to a brand new shower room, toilet and wash hand basin, and another good sized double bedroom.

Passing through the gateway to the rear garden you come into the most delightful part of the property. It is like a ‘secret’ garden with a swimming pool set in a ‘tapering’ meadow which has delightfully shaded areas. It is a perfect setting to while away those warm summer days.
The pool, which is very private and looks across pastureland and is 11m by 5m with the depth ranging from 1m to 2.5m and has a solar heated shower. There is a small roofed area with an electrical point where you can keep a fridge for instant access to the cold beers etc.Beautiful and well tended gardens.

“Beautiful Location”
My stepfather bought this in 1970s and converted it to the wonderful home that it is now. I had many happy family holidays here before he sold it

The pool area is very special , the house is well equipped and comfortable.The area is peaceful but within easy reach of many lovely towns such as Najac.All in all would highly recommend it.

“Lovely old stone house in the most peaceful part of France”
Quiet, rustic, house in the heart of the countryside. Great pool area and lovely setting on a farm in the heart of the midi-pyrenees and close to pretty, mediaeval villages.. We had a fabulous time!!
