This apartment is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Peak National Park.

This fully equipped recently refurbished two bedroom first floor apartment sleeps 4 and offers bright spacious accommodation with both bedrooms having en-suite shower facilities. With, a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a large lounge area leading to a patio area.
Local amenities within walking distance include a Post Office, butcher, baker, dairy and grocer as well as a mini-market and several public houses which serve food.

A £50 deposit payable within 7 days of booking will be required. The full balance must be received within 6 weeks prior to the start of your stay. If booking less than 6 weeks before your stay the full balance will be required immediately. A Booking form must be completed and signed then returned along with your deposit/payment.

Regretfully No Smoking and No Pets are allowed. Payment can be made by credit/debit cards.

“Rockingham Lodge is a Gem. 6 Star!”

That three letter word describes this 2 bedroom/2 bath apt. My sister and her husband, and I, drove to Tideswell (dates back to the 13th century) after a four day stay in Oxford. Our goal was a visit to Chatsworth (a fantastic experience) and to visit Lyme Park, a National Trust property (another fantastic experience; Pride and Prejudice was filmed here). Tideswell itself is a very small village. For me, a resident of midtown New York City, visiting Tideswell is like landing on another extremely pleasant, refreshing and beautiful planet. It is located in The Peaks District. Driving to Tideswell, or, from Tideswell to Chatsworth or to Lyme Park, one drives through verdant rolling farmland, undivided due to the age old English system of primogeniture. Our accommodation at Rockingham Lodge was on the 2nd floor, very roomy, with a living area/dining table combination, a terrace accessed via the living area, a kitchen with table and chairs, and 2 large bedrooms with 2 modern, ensuite baths. The beds are very comfortable. There are oversized windows in each bedroom. There is a washer/dryer, always a plus. There are homey touches: the right teapot, teabags, dishtowels, and a box of chocolate covered sticks. The owner has thoughtfully provided quality toiletries. We cannot recommend these lodgings highly enough. The owner is very pleasant and very easy to work with. All in all, our stay in Rockingham Lodge was a highlight of our two week plus stay in the United Kingdom. We give Rockingham Lodge 6 Stars!
