“Fautless”

Reviewed 6 Mar 2014

Excellent service, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The flat was spacious and well equipped. It didn't feel crowded despite 8 of us living in close proximity to each other for a week. The flat is centrally located, close to bars, cafes and the main shopping street. All of us were sad to leave!

“Very comfortable and ideal location”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2013

We stayed here recently with our family, all 9 of us. It was very comfortable, good heating and we got all we needed. There is a grocery shop just across the road too. The best bit is the location, it is located right in the middle of town, wasn't noisy as well. The only problem is that there is only one bathroom so it was quite a challenge for the 9 of us. Then again, this was clearly stated so I have only myself to blame for not checking.

“Nice place to stay”

Bright and spacious apartment. Perfectly located downtown Reykjvik. Hugi was veny helpful. One bathroom + toilets in the same room may result with some queue if apartment is occupied by 8 persons. We were only 3 then every thng went well.

“Great apartment in a great location”

A lovely spacious apartment in a great location. Central but quiet in the evenings. Perfect for our family stay with 2 young children. Everything clean and nicely presented. Well appointed kitchen and the apple TV was really useful.

“Great location, nice apartment”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2013

Stayed in this apartment at the beginning/middle of the august (in 2013) with eight people total - we're all late 20s traveling with a budget, so worked perfectly for our needs. It's worth noting that the apartment says it sleeps 8 people, but that involves sharing queen beds in the three bedrooms and using the fold out sleeper sofa (which was comfortable). Upsides: - Great location: right in the city center, so close to amenities, great restaurants, shops and sites. The street that it's on is super cute (Hallgrímskirkja is down the street) and the main shopping street is around the corner - Clean, has a dishwasher, laundry (although you'd have to be fluent in Icelandic to figure out how to use it!) and all the dishes you'd need - Totally modern/nice Scandinavian design - Huge living room/dining area, nice bathroom and a great kitchen - Good value - at least for us, splitting the whole thing eight ways made it hostel-level in pricing - Check-in is supposed to be at 2 PM, but Hugi, the guy that owns it, let us check in early, which was nice! Downsides: - If you're a light sleeper, note that on the weekends there are loud bars around the corner. We were traveling from NYC so could handle the city noise, but if you require perfect silence to sleep, you might have some difficulty here. Only was an issue on the weekend, I should note - the bars were quiet during the week. - The laundry is hard to use - washer only, no dryer (unless it's a combo one and we just couldn't figure it out) tips for staying: - Bring earplugs if you can't sleep with city noise and are staying over the weekend - Noodle Station down the street has amazing noodles - If you want Icelandic food, two words: Cafe Loki. It's across from Hallgrímskirkja, down the street from the apartment - the mashed fish and the homemade rye ice cream are incredible
