You will love this 4 bedroom ocean-view and private-beach cottage in the Manomet section of Plymouth, MA. This well preserved and maintained cottage was built in 1898 and is a good example of Victorian summer cottage design. Step back into history and witness the beautiful craftsmanship and vintage building materials in a setting of updated modern conveniences.

Private beach with access via staircase down bluff. Lovely quiet residential neighborhood with ocean view across the street. Large wrap-around porch (on three sides) with rockers. 1 1/2 baths plus outdoor, large, private, enclosed shower.

Large kitchen and pantry. Sleeps 12. Large living room and dining room, big yard for kids to play, working fire place. Cable TV and Wi-Fi, and trash/recycling pick- up.

While we do not provide linens, we are told we have the best equipped kitchen and that everything works! We do, of course have mattress pads on all beds plus pillow slips on all the pillows and blankets in each bedroom closet, if needed!

Two beaches within 8 miles without steps. Near Plymouth Plantation, Mayflower, Plymouth Rock, cranberry bogs, whale watching, great eating in Plymouth 10 miles away, etc.

Getting around

Manomet is a small town and easily walkable but to venture out, you will find the convenience of a car desirable. But, There IS public transportation available to everywhere! 10 minute walk to the Local jitney, departure at the local grocery store (Clements), leaves every hour and goes to Plymouth sites including to the commuter rail which offers service to all over Massachusetts. The jitney also goes to Exit 5 on Rt. 3 where you get the bus to Boston, to the airport and to the Cape.

House rules

Dogs are welcomed but not cats. If you bring a dog, please clean thoroughly in case renters who follow you have allergies. And bring furniture covers if your pet is likely to sit or lie or sleep on the furniture.
The beach is private and owners ask that renters and guests sit on the beach to the right of the stairs ( facing the ocean) that lead to the beach. Thanks!

Yes, we do try to keep the costs down but there is a list of cleaners posted on the refrigerator, so those who prefer not to clean, themselves, have a way out! We have managed, finally, to get the recycling piece of the Republic Services, which has delivered a recycling bin to us as well as the trash barrel. Recycling is collected only every other week, on Thursday, but renters may put their recycling in the recycle bin and then all recycling g
