Description

There is nothing quite like being in the heart of the historic district of Nantucket. 4 ½ Charter is new captains home located on a very quite side street only a couple blocks from the center of town (It is one of the very few rentals in the historic district that is not on a main road or a through street).

The interior is stylish with mostly new furnishings and very well planned.

The main level is an open space that includes a built in audio system which offers sound/music throughout the space. It has three separately furnished spaces: The well appointed kitchen which offers custom built cabinetry, commercial grade appliances, antique pine island, granite and marble surfaces and a wall mounted LCD flat screen TV; a dining area with a dining table which can accommodate 8 guests; and a living area with a fireplace, TV, DVD, Stereo system and French doors opening to a tree shaded deck.

The lower level is the size of a separate cottage with 10 ft ceilings. The space includes: A media room with a 70” plasma HDTV and 7.1 surround system with full theater effects; a large bedroom with a king bed; a bedroom with two twins; an office with a desk, high speed internet, fax, and printer; and a full bath.

The upstairs has two master suites. Suite 1 has a king bed, sitting area, wall mounted 40” LCD TV, built in audio system, DVD, stereo, full ensuite bath with glass shower and free standing double ended soaking tub. Suite 2 has a king bed, day bed with trundle, wall mounted LCD TV, built in drawers, and a full ensuite bath.

Outside there is two level bluestone patio with a couch four chairs and a dining area

The home is graced with antique wide plank oak flooring, wonderful fixtures and furnishings. Included in the house are highest quality bed linens, gas grill, and every amenity to make your stay on Nantucket a memorable experience.

If you have not been to Nantucket you will discover there is no better place to in the world to spend a week in the summer.

The House is located in the center of the old Historic District in downtown Nantucket on a very quiet side street. No parties or loud music or anything that will disturb the area or the other neighbors.
