Description

A comfortable, quaint private cottage located on a 22 acre farm in Historic Gordonsville, VA. Just minutes to Charlottesville, Keswick, UVA, Barboursville and many award winning wineries. Sleeps 6 comfortably. 1 Queen bedroom, 1 Double Bedroom Suite with an additional pull out sofa and 2 twin beds in the sleeping loft. (low ceiling, comfortable beds) Central Heat/Air keeps the temperature very comfortable at all times. The large country Kitchen is fully equipped and has a French door opening to a deck, which is great for morning coffee overlooking the meadow. A new bathroom with shower is just off the main bedroom (queen). Awesome loft with staircase overlooking the great room provides extra sleeping options (comfy thick mattresses). A large second bedroom on the main floor with a comfortable Double Bed and a pull out sofa bed (double) can also be a sunny den for reading or watching the abundant wildlife. Laundry room off kitchen with stacked washer/dryer. WI-FI, TV and strong cell signal. The Shade Tree Cottage is the perfect weekend or midweek destination for visiting the 50 area wineries!

House rules

Dogs are allowed, however, our free range chickens are out after 3pm each day, so keep fido on a leash in the afternoon after 3. Also, the steps going to the loft are not recommended for children under 5 yrs. (no rail)

“Cute Charming Cottage”

This was a great place to stay. Very cozy, comfortable and has all you need for your stay. Loved the charm of the place and will consider staying here again.

Response from the owner Thank you Suzanne for letting us know that a water pressure problem has come about, I sincerely apologize and have called our plumber to rectify the problem. Also, some of those dvd's are old and we may need to discard them. My husband is checking the dvd player, we will replace it if necessary. I'm so sorry that you were disappointed, we strive to make every visit enjoyable. These problems will be rectified as soon as possible, thanks again for bringing them to our attention.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
