“Excellent location and beautiful apartment”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2015

This apartment was an absolute joy to stay in. Its location was perfect for getting to and from the Fiere where we had business during the day, and was also close to Independenza and all the best food and nightlife areas, while still being in a quieter spot for a good night's sleep afterwards! The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. We particularly loved the little reading nook above the stairs where you could hide away with some tea and a book.

“Charming, well equipped, well located”

Reviewed 16 Dec 2014

We went to Bologna with two babies for two months to combine my paternity leave and my wife's studies. Location: Piazza San Francesco can be busy at night, but with no windows facing the square noise was never a problem. It is ten minuts strolling distance from the Piazza Maggiore. During our stay we walked everywhere (shops, parks, restaurants, train station). The appartment itself: cozy, with a personal touch. Between second and third floor (half a stairway up/down to elevator). Fully furnished. Kitchen with gas stove and electric oven (as well as microvawe that we didn't use). Very well equipped in terms of pots and pans, salad spinner, etc. Heating, lights, warm water etc. all worked fine witouht interruption. Interactions with landlord: very welcoming and reactive both up-front (answering our questions) and during our stay (e.g. bringing extra bed sheets when my in-laws came to visit).

“Great Place and excellent location”

“Perfectly located, quiet, charming and well equiped apartment”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2014

We are a family of four, with two small children, and the apartment was perfect in all senses. Centrally located in the historical centre and still very quiet, near all shops and restaurants, supermarkets and the local market. The building and the apartment itself has great personality, decorated with charm and great care of detail, with all necessary commodities and a well equipped kitchen. Besides, it is worth mentioning the great cleanliness. Elisa, the host, was very flexible and welcoming, she made possible that we could enter the apartment at 5.30 in the morning, and she also facilitated the check out at a late hour at night. The advice about restaurants, ice cream parlours...etc was very good. It is really a great apartment, comfortable and full of charm and at great value!

“Nicest rental ever!”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2014

We are a family of 4 from Belgium. We stayed here for 6 days and enjoyed both the city of Bologna and the apartment, which is wonderful, even better than in the photos, absolutely the nicest rental we ever stayed in when in Italy! Nothing is missing and Elisa, the owner, is a true delight. She was happy to welcome us even though we arrived late night, showed us around and took us to a nearby osteria to have a snack! The location is super - you are absolutely in the center of everything, yet out of the tourist tracks and the house is totally quiet. There are a couple of bars downstairs populated by friendly young people at night and old people during the day who are always eager to chat and make you feel like an old friend. Also, a great gelateria can be found at the corner of the piazza with Via De Marchi -do not miss it! Grocery stores are all around and so is the typical food market, with stalls. The train station can be reached on foot (no more than 12-13 minutes) and the bus stop is only 100 mts.. We could not believe we had all that for such a low price! We will definitely return. Grazie, Elisa

“3C's - Charming, Comfortable, Centrally located”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2014

Our apartment was an excellent place for us to stay during our visit to Bologna. The location was perfect for access to the historic center of town as well as modern shopping opportunities. The building was exactly the place we expected. The rooms were made up exactly as we had requested. Elisa, our greeter and also the apartment owner, welcomed us warmly and cordially; she took great effort to acquaint us with our surroundings from show us how to operate the appliances in the apartment to telling us about neighborhood including nearby restaurants. This was our first time renting an apartment instead of hotel room, and we were a bit apprehensive about how it would all work out. But after the warm greeting we had from Elisa, the anxieties melted away. We really couldn't have asked for better. There is a bakery almost next door to the apartment building, and when they bake overnight the wonderful odors drift up and into the apartment. This encourages you to get up early and go first thing to get some delicious pastries! Also conveniently located is a good gelateria just a few steps past the piazza. There are a couple of good restaurants we found within easy walking distance. We would definitely recommend this to others and hope to return ourselves some day.

“Perfect Bologna accommodation”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

We rented this apartment in February (2014) as a small group of 4 people. My husband and myself have traveled for years in Italy; however, the 2 people with us have not. From the beginning the owner of this apartment was truly amazing. Elisa was prompt in returning emails. She was always pleasant, responded quickly, and very helpful. My need to confirm reservations - multiple times, was unnecessary due to her efficiency. Elisa met us at the apartment and provided us with information regarding the apartment, places to eat, and scheduled a time to meet with Lucia, a friend, for a museum visit. The pictures of the apartment on the web site are accurate, but the beauty of the apartment, the location, and the comfort was unbelievable and better in reality. This apartment was very clean and the bedroom and the livingroom were perfectly spaced - which traveling for weeks in a group provided all with privacy. The bathroom was clean and in perfect working order. Many meals were cooked in the large well-equipped kitchen and everyone was appreciative of the olive oil, coffee, pasta and tomatoes we found as a stock. The area was quiet and there are wonderful restaurants and gelato shops close by. In the evening it was a pleasant stroll to Piazza Maggiore, Piazza Santo Stefano, the Two Towers, etc. The location was essential for those who were with us being the first time in Italy. After a day sightseeing and walking in the unusual February warm weather - relaxing in this cozy and welcoming apartment was heavenly. Our stay in this apartment exceeded all of our expectations. My husband and I travel to Italy every year and Bologna is our favorite city. We are looking forward to returning and staying in this apartment. Thank you Elisa for making our trip and our memories wonderful. Thank you Lucia for connecting with us, helping us, and your delightful conversations.

“What a pretty place!”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

While I was attending a trade fair I had my wife and our two children staying here. They loved it! The house is centrally located and everything is a stone's throw, one can reach Piazza Maggiore in 3 minutes and the train station is only 10 minutes walk. The apartment features very comfortable rooms and is light-filled, especially in the afternoon. Well stocked, safe for the children, nice, elegant building, area with friendly people and young guys all around, free wifi. Everything worked well, the kitchen incljuded. The price is absolutely ridiculous for what you get. Elisa is a great host who helped us a lot when we needed it. Absolutely recommended.

“Superb accommodation in the middle of everything!”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

I had the chance to be the very first guest of this accommodation (January 2014) and I was pleasantly surprised by its cleanliness, quiet, charm and convenience. Everything is at hand and one can reach all spots in town in minutes, the station and the Fair District included. The area is lively and colorful yet safe, with a majestic cathedral right across the square. A couple of bars and a wine shop downstairs are populated by great, friendly folks who are always eager to help or buy you a drink (= Italy at its best!). A delicious gelateria is around the corner and so is a traditional foood market - do not forget to visit it! Public transportation is at hand as well and Piazza Maggiore only a very short walk through the tiny, porticoed streets of Bologna. As for the apartment, it is even better than in the pictures. Extremely tidy and well set, with all cooking tools provided in the kitchen and a super clean bathroom, is the ideal accommodation for a couple or a small family. The bed is great, firm and very comfortable, quiet is absolute. Well working wifi, nice, helpful owners and a great price made this rental my top accommodation in Bologna. I will definitely come back.
