Description

This apartment of 90 m² is located in the historic center of Naples, it is on the 4th floor of a restored seventeenth-century building with elevator. Bright and quiet. Split over two levels, two double bedrooms and a bathroom are located upstairs. The very large kitchen, fully equipped, with a dining area, a third bedroom with a double bed, a spacious living room and a second bathroom are located on the lower floor. The rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished.

The street is closed to the Duomo Cathedral and the Museum Pio Monte della Misericordia, which houses the works of Caravaggio. The beautiful Obelisk of San Gennaro is few inches from the apartment. This place is on the Decumano Maggiore.

Perfect start point for visiting the most important artistic and historical beauties of Naples, as well as the famous Cappella San Severo but also to discover those of its surroundings, given the proximity to the main nodes of public transportation.

Pompeii, Herculaneum and Sorrento can be easily reached by Circumvesuviana train from the station in Piazza Garibaldi, 500 meters from the apartment.

The ferry to Capri, Ischia, Procida and other pearls of the Gulf of Naples is just 700 meters from the apartment. From here you can sail to the famous destinations along the Amalfi Coast and Salerno or Phlegrean coast.

The historical center of Naples shows its ancient history, showing the successive layers of civilizations and cultures that have followed it.

“The Italian dream”

This apartment was located right in the heart of Napoli. We had pizzerias, small shops and bakeries literally at our doorstep. Not to mention on foot many attractions – such as churches and museums were not too far at all. We lived like locals, enjoying the Italian streets and buildings and the many squares we strolled through. To venture out further into Naples, the metro stations were also not far at all from the apartment. Station Cavour being no more than a 10-minute walk and station Garibaldi being no more than a 15-minute walk – on google maps both stations were very easy to find. As a group of young people one of the things we struggled with was finding nightclubs – I believe from our experience there isn’t much of those around this area. So, if that is something you would like to do if you come out here – you should research it more than we did before we came out. If you do come out to this particular location, you may receive a lot of warnings about pickpockets, we had no issues with this sort of thing. As long as you pay attention to your belongings and remain responsible you too should have no issues. The apartment itself was very spacious. It had more than enough room for 6 of us and in my opinion, could have easily catered for two more individuals. The two upstairs bedrooms were the only two rooms with aircon – however Sonia was kind enough to supply two fans for the rooms downstairs. The only things I feel like the apartment needed was one – sharper cutlery and more mirrors around the apartment. As females, me and my other two friends would have appreciated it if there were more mirrors in a more natural lighting – for example the main rooms not just the bathrooms. The WIFI was also very good considering it was shared amongst 6 of us and the washing machine was very easy to use and we did use it a lot. Sonia was a great host. There was however an issue in terms of our initial meeting. We agreed to meet at 11am – however she was not at the entrance when we arrived. This made us very anxious as being in a new environment and knowing very little of the language there wasn’t much we could do. However, once I messaged her and it went through – she came down immediately. I would advise that if you are to rent this property – before going you take note of her number with the proper area code and make sure you can communicate with her in a way other than through the website. I will also keep this in mind for the next time I go on holiday again. Once we did meet Sonia – she gave me a lovely tour of the apartment, a lot of tourist information, in terms of beaches the trains and the apartment itself. During our stay whenever we needed assistance with something she was very responsive and made sure to reply as soon as possible and to the best of her ability. We were very happy to have someone who was reliable and trustworthy. Overall, our two week stay in this beautiful apartment in this beautiful city in this beautiful country was nothing less than an absolute dream. I would be more than happy to revisit one day. Thank you for everything Son!

The location and the appartment are superb. Only minus is that the host ask you to pay 30 Euro for check in and 40 Euro for final cleaning. This is not mentioned on Flipkey site while booking.
