“Lovely comfortable apartment, excellent location”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2015

We had a super stay over Christmas & New Year. The instructions provided and key handover arrangements were brilliant and the owner was extremely helpful in accommodating our dates. I would agree with the most of the previous comments - the apartment was clean, well equipped, quiet, warm, comfortable and very convenient for everything. It could not be any closer to the main lift and ski hire shops (if you hire skis at Sport 2000 free lockers and boot driers are available). There is also plenty to see and do for non skiers (or a day off), walk up to the old town (amazing views), swimming pool, ice skating, shops & restaurants are all easy walking distance. We went to one of the weekly ice hockey matches which was a great experience, and also used the shuttle bus to visit some of the other villages, but avoid lift closure time as the bus can get very full! The only thing stopping me giving an excellent rating is the shower flow is a bit weak, but always hot. Otherwise everything perfect thanks.

“Amazing ski holiday.”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2014

Really enjoyed our stay at Briancon we were lucky with the weather and the apartment was close to everything we needed (ski lift or ski bus if we wanted to go further). We had everything we needed and more we discovered the slow cooker and recipes on day 2 and enjoyed lovely food for the rest of the trip. We had plenty of space with all 3 of us getting our own double/sofa bed. Looking forward too next year we will be back as soon as the snow is.

“Convenient comfortable apartment”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2014

Despite being situated in a slightly rundown building, the apartment is conveniently situated next to the main lift out of Briancon which is maximum five minutes walk away. It has one bedroom and two sofa beds and is great for two people, four would be fine, but six might be a little cosy. The apartment is clean and has everything you need for self catering. It is also warm and there is plenty of hot water. It is about a 30 minute walk from the old town which should not be missed and has plenty of shops and restaurants.

On recommande fortement.

“Lovely apartment in a great area”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2014

The apartment is really well-designed with stunning views of the mountains around Briancon. We went skiing and found the short walk to the Prorel cable car ideal. The summer activities available in the area look really interesting too and I would like to return at a different time of year (e.g. for climbing, walking, white-water rafting and via ferrata). The owners are very helpful and look after every detail. Briancon itself is a gorgeous town with a historic centre and lots of lovely cafes, bars and shops. We found the skiing instruction at ESF to be excellent and the whole area very friendly and welcoming. Overall, highly recommended!

“well-equipped, clean and comfortable apartment with easy access to ski area, shops and restaurants”

Reviewed 20 Feb 2013

Stayed here with my wife, teenage daughter and her friend for week's skiing in Feb. Having been to Briancon previously we already knew that the location was good for access to pistes and ski buses, and local supermarket and restaurants. The apartment itself was clean, tidy, and well equipped, with everything in good condition. For the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers) there was enough space for us to prepare and eat meals and relax during evenings without getting in each others way.

“Spotless apartment in a great location.”

Reviewed 16 Feb 2013

We stayed at this apartment for a week's skiing. We were right next to the main Briancon ski lift & could ski back to same. The apartment was warm & spotless. The old town is a 10 min. walk up the hill. Close to train station, pleasant view. Ideal location & spotless, we couldn't have got better.

“Well equipped apartment, good location, good value for money.”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2013

We very much enjoyed staying in this apartment. It is in a good location right next to the telecabins and only takes 5 mins walking to reach them from the apartment. The apartment directly overlooks the telecabins from the side. The apartment is located on the 4th floor which is accessible by a small lift. There is a bar at the base of the building but we did not hear any noise in the evenings or night that woke us up. First impressions the apartment block/communal areas look a bit tatty but acceptable for the entrance to ski-apartments., The apartment is clean and well equipped. The apartment had everything we needed during our stay e.g. dvd player, ipod station, ironing board, kettle, microwave, games, dvds. There was no english TV available. There is a small ice box in the fridge. There is a good array of cooking utensils and crockery. In the lounge area there are 2 sofa beds and a foldable table with 4 chairs. Four of us (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 11) stayed comfortably in this apartment. There is a shower and we always had lots of hot water. The apartment has a balcony which overlooks a stream. The apartment is approx 6 minute walk away from the Carrefour city supermarket. There are also some shops very nearby to hire ski-equipment which are near the kiosk where you purchase the ski-passes.
