Three bedroom Ocean Front Villa, large patio set in a tropical garden is conveniently located between the resort towns of Ocho Rios and Runaway Bay on Jamaica's North Coast, and tucked away at Chukka Cove, Villa 1 provides unique access to a truly Jamaican experience.

The front lawn was used in the filming of the 2016 Season 20 finale of the Bachelor with Ben Higgins while staying at Brown Shuggah, Chukka Cove!

Villa 1 is far from pretentious, it is a warm and inviting "real" home set on a farm and hidden amidst pastures and lush foliage on the edge of dramatic ocean front cliffs in a rural setting. With newly renovated and expanded space, upgraded furniture, appliances and new renovated modern kitchen it's nothing like the mega all inclusives. It sits in a lovely groomed area shared with only five other villas. Here in the country you may wake up to the sound of roosters, and listen to the crickets and frogs songs at night. Of course, like all farms, the villa has its own resident cat and the friendly neighbour dogs occasionally come for a visit.

So immerse yourself in the real Jamaica and soak your cares away in the turquoise waters of the cove or in the private plunge pool used only by villa 1 guests. A safe place with security on property to vacation without being locked in a compound!

Your private paradise has a master, second and third bedroom all with full ensuite bathrooms. The master suite includes a separate living area with a pull out sofa, desk and sliding doors out to a small covered balcony with an incredible ocean view, the perfect place for your morning coffee. Sleeps 7 guests total.

Downstairs, the dining room boasts large folding doors that open onto an expansive furnished patio, shaded by a passion fruit vine with a private plunge pool. A powder room, kitchen and laundry room complete the lower level.

The cliffs at Chukka Cove are dramatic and extensive, great for exploring or simply listening to the sound of the waves crashing ashore. On calm days, a ladder leads in cool clear waters.

On property is a small sandy cove, perfect and safe for young children to swim and play. On days when the sea swells are up and you seek calmer waters, a two minute walk along the edge of the polo field takes you to the spectacular Chukka Cove, a sheltered bay where the waters are always calm and cliff jumping, swimming and snorkeling (bring your own gears) are the order of the day.

Located at the original tour location Chukka Polo farm you will see over 100 horses head to the stables each morning for the famous horseback ride n swim tour. Tours depart from the farm just a short walk from the Villa.

Getting around

Guests can either rent a vehicle and travel off property by themselves but we highly suggest proceed with caution and ensure awareness at all times. It is highly recommended that our guests use known licensed transportation or excursion operators at all times. Chukka has complimentary round trip transportation for all excursions.

Guests can expect constant communication before their stay. From the inception of the booking through pre-arrival and arrival process. Information is provided to ensure a smooth transition and hassle free vacation. Everything can be arranged beforehand and the face to face meet and greet upon arrival, walk through of the villa and hand over of the keys is done with our host, Ms. Carlene.

There are plans for improvement/upgrades which include a lot less family photos.. The neighbour with the dogs is moving out and should be gone, with the dogs. If you are a light sleeper however, I think head phones are a great idea because Jamaica is full of night noises. One Love!
