“Great experience”

Reviewed 25 Jul 2015

My husband and I stayed in the Villa Damai 1 for a month’s stay. Escaping the cold Australian winter weather. The villa was very affordable for the months stay, its located half way between Canggu and Seminyak. It’s easy enough to get around if you have scooters. However can be a little difficult getting a taxi. Uber was far easier and the same cost. The villa team lead by Win and Chris looked after us the entire time we were there. In particular, we would like to acknowledge the two wonderful housekeepers who took care of us each day. Thank you Thank you. There are number of local nice cheap eats’ - Wurrung’s near by the villa and plenty of delivery options as well . However if you’re a morning coffee person, be prepared there isn’t anything nearby. Lucky for enough for us, Win took care of that, by providing a coffee pod machine – hints BYO pods, You can find them in a couple of spots (Bali catering and super market on Kerobokan, but they are $$. There were only a couple of not so great things regarding the villa. One was the sofa; it’s sooooo.....hard, like a rock not comfortable at all. Easy fix though with replacing the cushions. Given we were there a month, my husband had to worked for the first part of each morning. However the internet made this a whole lot harder. Its temperamental and very slow - almost dial up speed at times. Not sure there is a lot that can be done about that, the villa may well be a black spot? Overall we had a fantastic holiday, wishing the volcano held us up a bit longer. Thanks Win and Chris for all your help during our stay, it was very much appreciated. See you again soon.

“Ideally located, perfectly appointed, outstanding staff”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2015

Villa Damai is a perfect place from which to explore Bali. We were attending a family wedding in Kerobokan and stayed for a week in Villa Damai. The villa is lovely with a beautiful garden and large pool. The two downstairs bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable large double beds, lots of storage and very good showers. The upstairs bedroom has two single beds and is also very comfortable. The wifi, tv, large fridge/freezer and all the equipment including air conditioning are all to a high standard. All the staff are warm, willing, welcoming and friendly - they couldn't do enough for us. On our first evening Wynn welcomed us to the Villa to explain everything and made himself available to coordinate anything we needed. He made lots of arrangements for us - restaurant bookings, taxis, airport transfers etc. He suggested several places for us to visit, e.g. Ubud, the volcano, Kintamani, and The Temple, Tanah Lot and organised experienced drivers to take us anywhere we wished to go. We were in Bali for a week only but we managed to get a lot done in this short time! We dined out each evening in some of the really nice restaurants on the beach and others recommended to us, all within a 10/15 minute taxi journey from the villa. We had a lovely, relaxed holiday in Bali.

“Great layout, quiet location, excellent management”

Reviewed 3 Jan 2015

We stayed for two weeks with our two young children at Villa Damai and had a wonderful holiday. The villa has an excellent layout as the two bedrooms and living/dining and kitchen area are all on the one level rather than in different pavilions or with outside walkways, etc. The pool is directly outside with a daybed and loungers. It is a great pool for young children as it is possible for adults to stand up in the entire pool, and there is a ledge suitable for littlies to stand up. We did not use the third bedroom as our children are too young to navigate the stairs, however it would be a perfect retreat for older children. Chris, the villa owner was professional on emails and organised a pool fence, highchairs, baby cot and even a Christmas tree for us. The airport transfers were smooth. The service from the villa manager Win was excellent, the best we've had in Bali. He was attentive to all our phone calls and nothing was too much trouble to organise, whether it be a driver, babysitter, extra cleaning, etc. The villa was cleaned daily by Yaya who was lovely and very professional. The house was very well equipped for a young family, for example the kitchen had a microwave suitable for sterilising bottles, plus toaster, blender; the bedrooms had mosquito nets; and there were ample bath towels and beach towels. The location is peaceful but central -- just 10 minutes by car to Seminyak/Petitenget and 15-20 minutes to Echo Beach. We also arranged food delivery from local restaurants and the villa was easy to find and well marked. Our only wish would be that the couch in the living room was far more comfortable. If that could change, the villa would be perfect!!

“A perfect stay”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2014

My fiancée and I had a memorable stay at Villa Damai. The staff are all so welcoming and nothing was too much for them. The villa is a very good size and whilst we were just 2, it could easily sleep 6 comfortably. The pool and garden is a lovely place to spend the day and seminyak is very close by. We wouldn't hesitate to return here. Soooo peaceful!

“Idyllic”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2014

We went to the Damai Villa in Seminyak in September and had an outstanding time. The staff look after you very well and are not intrusive, you can ask for them to bring you breakfast and they will happily do so - ask them to take your clothes to the laundry on your last day. For not much money (around £5) they will have everything washed, ironed and sealed in tiny bags - perfect for packing before heading home! The Villa is wonderful each bedroom is of generous proportions and fully air conditioned, the pool is kept very clean and is just the right temperature. Close by are 2 Warung's - the globe cafe and a Italian both serve really nice freshly made food. I fully recommend the tempe burger peanut burger from the Globe cafe and the gnocci from the Italian

“Lovely villa ideal for a family”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2014

We stayed at Villa Damai for a week-long family holiday. The villa is lovely, exactly as described, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The villa is in a nice quiet location but Seminyak is close by and taxis are no problem. Our holiday was over too soon and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa.

“Fantastic villa in great location”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2014

I stayed here with my family and found the villa to be beautiful and exactly as described. My son is 6 months old and there was a baby cot and bedding here already and some toys for the pool, which made life much easier and meant more space for shopping!! Location is brilliant and the staff are all very friendly and especially good with my son. We will definitely be back!

“Paradise”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2013

We stayed in Villa Damai during June 2013 for a week. It was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay and not too far from Seminyak for nights out and the beaches were a short hop on a moto too. The pool is great and the villa has all the facilities needed for a truly fabulous holiday. Highly recommended

“Perfect for Families or Couples - Gorgeous Villa”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2013

We stayed here with my two young children and had the holiday of a lifetime. The villa was so well equipped and beautifully decorated. The pool area is gorgeous and had a very child friendly ledge all down the length which was handy with kids swimming and great to relax on with a cocktail! I would highly recommend this villa for those who want a relaxing, quiet haven in a beautiful setting. I would love to stay here again!

“Beautiful Bali”

Reviewed 4 Jul 2013

My family and i(2 small children) stayed at the villa in February 2013. We loved it so much we have already booked our next Bali trip to stay there in 2014! The villa is beautiful and surrounded by an idyllic balinese garden and lovely pool which the children just loved. The villa itself was stunning and beautifully clean and tidy. Staff were an absolute pleasure and nothing seemed too much trouble. The villa is a 5 minute taxi/scooter ride from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, but so close it was very easy to get in and out to all the stunning restaurants and of course the beaches. Sardine and Biku two personal favorites! We would highly recommend the villas and we can't wait to return
