“I have a secret and this is it. This house is my happy place”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2014

Ok, so lets start by saying this place is simple, it is comfortable, it has all that you need. Now for the things Paul and Nancy just couldn't tastefully renovate or buy at Costco, and let me say this, we didn't need anything other than food. The house was fully stocked with toilet paper, laundry soap, clean towels and bedding, condiments, sugar, coffee, coffee filters, salt and pepper etc. was all provided. The cove is magnificent. The distant sound of the gulls on the beach, the salty breeze, the ever changing sky and the beach with its perfect take home souvenirs, millions of one of a kind gorgeous stones. We brought an empty suitcase from home, just saying. We met Paul and his father, Sam and they were full of great suggestions for us to do. I wanted to go horse back riding, they knew of a place. I wanted to go to a typical Newfoundland festival, they knew of one over in the next cove. Paul told us about the gorgeous trail just down on the beach that would take us all along the oceans edge and into the next cove if we wanted to go for a long walk. Paul was very accommodating. I requested a fire pit so we could sit at night, around a fire while star gazing with the methodical sound of the ocean crashing on the shores. How perfect is that? He made it happen. Thank you again, Paul, it was one of those memories I will keep with me even when I am being spoon fed in a nursing home. I am only touching on the great points of the house but the convenience of only being 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the beautiful city of St. Johns is more than perfect. We enjoyed it so much that we looked at real estate in Torbay :) Now that you know my secret, don't tell anyone okay? Pinky Promise??

Response from the owner Thanks for the great review. My response to last review was actually for you. Glad all was perfect for you guys. Like I said before, makes all the hard worth it when you know people are leaving just loving the house, location and Newfoundland. Hope to see you again down the road!
