Description

Escaping the hustle of the touristic places in Bali you will find this quiet house in a rural little village with all the characteristics of authentic South West Bali 2 km from the coast.

It has 3 bedrooms to accomodate 6 people and looks out on a big, lushful garden with its kidney shaped swimming pool. Small children and babies like this pool very much, as is our experience, because of the safe, undeep section. When you stay in the house you are all by yourselves.

The owners are not present but you can always contact them by e-mail or by sms, Mena the daughter of Sylvia lives in Bali for over 15 years. The manager Wayan gives you all the details for your stay in hour home.

The kind and helpful staff takes care of all the housekeeping work so you can just lay back and relax. They do the cleaning, the laundry, the ironing, the shoppings you need and cook delicious, pure Indonesian meals. Prices are very reasonable and fixed.

The gardener, who is also the night watch, takes care of the garden and the swimming pool and he is also the handyman.

Our driver/manager Wayan, who can pick you up at the airport or any other destination on Bali and is always happy to take you to all the interesting places in Bali, speaks English. His prices are fixed, dependant on the actual rate of the rupiah, and reasonable. On arrival he shows you all the ins and outs of the house.

The house is situated in a remote area with touristic Kuta and Legian at about 1-1,5 hours drive distance, depending on the traffic.

The very next big supermarket is appr 40 minutes away and for western food shopping the driver can take you to Canggu

(appr. 45 min-1 hour). There are a couple of small supermarkets in the village but they mostly sell Indonesian products.

Also the nearest ATM machine are in Tabanan close to Hardy's Supermarket, Tanah Lot or Canggu area.

Plse remember to bring enough (western) groceries and cash money when you stay at our house. There are no ATM machines in our village!

The house and the garden are totally private, meaning you don't have to share the place with other guests.

Cars, bikes or motorbikes can be rented. Just ask Wayan, the manager/ driver.

It is all about quietness, relaxation and being pampered in this cosy, warm atmosphere, although we unfortunately can't control occasional local prayers at nearby Hindu Temples and/ or nightly Balinese ceremonies.

The black sand beaches and the ricefields are perfect for long walks.

If you want a change by making a tour/trip around Bali there is Wayan with many years of experience touring guestst around Bali.

He can take you to Ubud, the artistic centre of Bali (appr 60 minutes), to the famous temple of Tanah Lot (appr 30 min.), the beautiful butterfly garden (appr 30 min.), the town Tabanan (appr 15 min.) where the atmosphere is totally Balinese and the big market is a must and also on various daily tours.

The undiscovered Jatiluwih and Batu Karu Mountain are not far away, perfect for hikes and beautiful Balinese scenery.

And the hip Canggu area (Batu Bolong, Berawa) is appr a 30-40 min drive, here you can find many youngsters surfing, shopping and relaxing.

Wayan knows everything about the island and speaks English reasonably well.. The house staff does not, but after many satisfied guests in our house we found that they understand our guests quickly. And with the help of the dictionaries available in the house communication is hardly a problem.

To our regret there are not yet many possibilities for internet.You could buy a local tel nr (pro XL or Telkomsel) and buy an internet package.

This is not a very fast connection though, but at least a connection..

As our village is really rural and not modern at all we still lack in the field of social media.
