Our comfortable 2 bedroom/1.5 bath island home truly has that relaxed, getaway feeling. Decorated with cool island colors and comfortable décor, our home is nestled cozily on a quiet street right on the water*. Imagine fishing from the comfort of the patio or just enjoying the tranquil view of the water, where it is not uncommon to see fish jumping and the occasional manatee or dolphin swimming by. If you feel like a swim or want to relax in a hot tub, the main pool and clubhouse are only a short walk away, or try out the ocean pool located on Nettles Island’s private beach area just a little farther down the road.

Our home is perfect for couples or families, and we are pet friendly (don’t forget the fur babies)! The house comfortably fits 4 guests, but can accommodate up to 6.

THE HOUSE: The kitchen and family room are open concept, so it is a breeze to entertain friends or just spend quality time with family while you are cooking. The kitchen has all the major appliances (fridge with automatic ice maker, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, stove, blender, mixer, toaster) and is fully stocked for cooking (there is also an outdoor grill). The family room has a 50" flat screen smart TV with a DVD player. We provide free internet (high speed 5G), so if you have a Netflix’s account or any other streaming service you will be able to stream via the TV.

The master bedroom includes a comfortable queen bed and a 40" flat screen smart TV, capable of streaming services. The master bathroom has a nice deep tub and shower.

The second bedroom features a daybed with a trundle bed beneath (this can be turned into a full queen bed). All bedrooms have closets. All rooms have ceiling fans and central A/C and heat.

The third bed is an inflatable queen air bed.

Upon check in, the house will be stocked with a limited number of necessities: toilet paper, tissues, and soaps for the bathrooms and dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, trash bags and coffee filters in the kitchen. All bed linens, towels (including beach towels) and kitchen towels are provided.

*Please be aware that the seawall is close to the back door. It is recommended that all renters, especially children, be able to swim. Since we are close to the seawall, the cottage is up 4' feet; therefore, upon entering there are 5 steps up to the living area.

ABOUT NETTLES: Nettles Island is a resort community encompassing a 24-hour security gated neighborhood development in the saltwater Indian River Lagoon between the Ft. Pierce inlet to the north and the St. Lucie inlet to the south. Walking, bike riding and golf carts are the most common forms of transportation in the community.

The main clubhouse has a large heated pool with 2 hot tubs and is a hub of activity. During the “winter” season there are many active clubs to join or classes to take, and there is always some sort of entertainment going on.

The Nettles Island private beach and Beach Club is a short/drive walk away and includes a large heated pool, restrooms, showers and a snack bar. You can walk or jog for miles along the beach searching for seashells and other nautical items. At night during the summer months, bring a red-light flashlight and you might get to see a giant sea turtle come ashore lay its eggs in the sand.

Nettles offers many family activities to partake in during your stay including, work out room, miniature golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, pickle ball, horseshoes, bocce ball, kiddy wading pool, sand box, billiards, foosball, ping pong, X-box, arcade games, computers with internet and so much more to entertain the kids. Best part, it's all free!

Nettles Island has a marina, quaint restaurant, and a small grocery store on-site where you will find basic groceries, baked goods, sandwiches, beer, wine, bait, and souvenirs.
