“AMAZING reasonably priced place to stay for a group in PDC”
Our introduction to this wonderful house was getting lost in one of the craziest rainstorms of my life, dark around 9pm, a train of 11 people (we had just 8 of us in the house and a few friends staying nearby), wandering around trying to cut through from the main street to this place. We were about 20' away but couldn't get through fenced off areas so kept going back and forth trying to find a way through (hint: the only way is to use the gated entrance off of 10th Avenida by Calle 3 Sur). It was a pretty wet, confusing, and generally crappy half hour. Then, with the help of The Reef (resort in the area) and a friendly taxi driver, we managed to find Casa Flamenco, and it was all so, so worth it. The house is located just 2 blocks from the private beach section of the Playacar, and is about a 5-8 minute walk to the South part of town where La Quitna starts (and an Oxxo mini-mart for tequila and snacks). Once you get to know the area and shortcuts it was very easy to get around. The Playacar is beautiful, full of mayan ruins, agoutis, gorgeous houses that cost more than my entire retirement salary, and plantlife. Our daily walk into town took us past iguanas and ancient ruins, and it was just gorgeous. The house itself was perfect as well. The first floor includes two bedrooms, each with two full-sized beds and their own bathrooms. There is an extra bathroom on that floor, a laundry room with washer/dryer/sheets/towels, and a sort of "activities room" with kayaks, water toys, inflatable floaty things, a cooler, 4 or 5 beach umbrellas, and pretty much anything you'd need for a beach day. There is a back door to the pool on that floor, which we used once or twice, but the caribbean is so close it was hard to stay away. The second (main) floor contains the master bedroom with huge bed and attached bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room (which you can see from the photos). There is also a patio with a round table and some comfortable if not ludicrously squeaky chairs. The kitchen has everything you'd need to be comfortable, including coffee maker, toaster, blender, appliances, pots/pans, and a filtered water dispenser. The filtered water jug is delivered every two days if an empty is out on the sidewalk, which was VERY much appreciated since tap water does not agree with our delicate Pacific NW gut flora! The third floor has one last bedroom with two beds, a second living room, and another patio with a hibachi grill. There are steps on that patio that lead up to the roof, which was an excellent place for hanging out and watching the sunset (or sunrise, depending), especially with a few of the pool chairs brought up. A maid comes 2 or 3 times a week, and there is a pool boy daily. There was a key in a lockbox so we didn't need to worry about being late, which was really nice considering how late we were. It also made it easy for the group to not have to coordinate entry/exit times and share a single key. Patricio was an excellent host and was very responsive to our questions. I would recommend this house to anyone going with a group large enough to fill all 4 bedrooms, and wish I could have spent another week in paradise instead of coming back to "real life"!
“The perfect escape”
I recently stayed here for a week with my family, and couldn't have asked for a better vacation. The house is huge, and there was more than enough room for 6 adults (could have been 10). Patricio was extremely attentive and everything that we needed was thought of in advance. The rooftop terrace is spectacular, and the view is breathtaking. It's a 1 minute stroll to the beach, and 5 minutes to 5th avenue, but luckily in a very quiet area that affords peace and quiet needed to relax. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs to get away.
“Comfortable house very close to the beach”
We had a great visit to Playa and enjoyed our stay in Casa Flamenco. Good bedrooms, great main floor social area, beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. Nice kitchen. Nice garden/pool area. More upgrades are planned as well. Great staff to keep the house clean.

“Beautiful beach house, perfect for a family vacation”
The house is ideally located only a block from the beach. Great for large families. Clean and well kept accommodation. There is high speed internet access. My recommendation is a BBQ area. We will definitely come back. Olga, Moscow, Russia
