“Lovely place in the heart of Rome”

Reviewed 14 May 2015

I highly recommend this apartment, located at the heart of Rome. Although the apartment is small, it has everything you need. From a hairdryer to good guide books. Nothing is missing :-) The apartment is clean and the decor is cozy. The nicest thing about the apartment is the small balcony. Here we enjoyed the sun during the day and in the evening we enjoyed on the lovely atmosphere and music from the street below. Very tall people (over 1.95 m) should be aware that the ceiling is very low in some places in the apartment. The landlord Paola is exceptional. She took incredibly good care of the reservation, airport pick-up and made sure that we were well taken care of when we arrived late in the evening in the apartment. And if you have questions, she answers immediately by email. We had a wonderful holiday in this apartment. Thank you Paola!

“Quaint Apartment in a perfect location”

Reviewed 3 Feb 2015

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. It's a comfortably small apartment, about the size of a junior suite at a hotel - and the price for such a premier location is an extremely good value. Paola (the hostess) is very kind and makes herself available, if needed. It's also extremely secure (although Rome is a very safe city, it's always nice to have good security where you stay), and I was surprised how quiet it was, being so close to a major attraction (Trevi Fountain is just a minute away) on one of the busiest pedestrian streets in Rome. It's also conveniently close to good restaurants - which stay open late. This was our third trip to Rome in the past 5 years, so we purposely and knowingly picked this location, which is also only a 5-7 minute walk to the Barberini metro stop - I highly recommend and we will definitely contact Paola when we plan our next Roman holiday.

Response from the owner Thanks for being such wonderful guests! I look forward to welcoming you back to Rome very soon.

“Central Location”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2015

The location was great - we could walk to everything we wanted to see, and there was a great deli and grocery store near, so we could buy food and cook our own meals in the apartment. The apartment was super clean and had all the kitchen things we needed (even a clothes washer). The owner was very helpful before our arrival and during our stay: helping us arrange airport transportation, suggestions on what to see and how to purchase tickets.

“A million-dollar apartment in the heart of Roma”

Reviewed 25 Nov 2014

It was the best vacation in Rome! Beautiful apartment - very romantic with a balcony overlooking the city. Paola was very helpful and prompt in communicating with us every step of the way. We felt welcome and looked after throughout our entire stay. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well-appointed with all the furnishings (including wine glasses for our nightly sip on the terrace) we could possibly need during our week-long stay in Rome. We recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to have a romantic stay in Rome. We will definitely tell all of our friends in NYC about this apartment, and we will return again soon!

“Not sufficient for more than one person”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2014

When we came in the apartment, in a few hours there were literally hundreds of little flies flying about and then they fell to the floor. There were so many, we had to vacuum the area. Only five days later, a person came to spray the whole area. Afterwards it was ok, but there were still many of them appearing in the living area. The space above the bed is very, very low, if you are two in the bed. The second person has to crawl out of the bed. Approx 1.20 m high. Then one weekend we did have hot water nor heating. In these old buildings the water pressure is insufficient to reach the fifth floor at times.. However it was repaired . The WiFi also was working sporadically, sometimes it would not work in the morning, sometimes not in the early evening etc. the lighting was not sufficient. One lamp did not work. It was hard to work out our sightseeing schedule. The dishwasher did not work. Ten days later a person came to repair it. Unfortunately we had booked for a month in Rome. Our most horrible vacation ever. The elevator only goes up to the fourth floor and then on has to carry the suitcase up,one floor.
