“It was the perfect place for us. Clean, roomy, easy to get to F”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2014

The Villa is beautiful! Lorenzo was a great host and he helped arrange transportation from the airport. We had taken a late train from Rome and got to the villa felt in the evening feeling very tired. Lorenzo was great the villa was awesome and we felt at home immediately. There were eight of us and there was plenty of room to spread out. Pros Beautiful Villa Very Clean Incredible View Wonderful Gardens Plenty of Room Full Kitchen with utensils Easy to Get to Florence (bus stop within walking distance) Cafe and small market within walking distance Lorenzo was great Cons Cannot think of any The location of the villa was perfect for our group. It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to get into the city quickly. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to Florence by bus (which was easy to use, clean, and never too crowded.) By our bus stop there are a small market and cafe. So we could get espresso while waiting for our bus. One night we decided to eat in and the kitchen was equipped with all the utensils to make a full dinner. The Villa just added to the magic we were having on our trip and we would highly recommend it.

“Beautiful tuscan villa with a view”

The Villa Le Terazze is beautiful! It fit our purposes perfectly. We had 9 family members staying there and held a small wedding ceremony in the yard. The garden and views are fabulous and the space of the villa works well for everyone to spread out. The antiques and well-appointed furnishings made the environment warm and cozy. Lorenzo was helpful and kind. He met us for check-in promptly and was thorough in explaining everything we needed to know about the accomodations. The day before check out, Lorenzo sent an email and was again, prompt and thorough. He was friendly and spoke english well. Thank you, Lorenzo, for sharing this fabulous home with us! We had the pleasure of enjoying a fabulous meal prepared for us and served in the villa diningroom. Alida and her husband, Andrea, created an experience we will not soon forget. The food was outstanding and the service/setting was fabulous. I highly recommend this for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful dining experience. They took care of everything! Thank you to alida and andrea for the wonderful meal and experience. The location of the villa is very convenient. It is about 15 minutes from Florence by bus. We utilized this method of getting to and from, and it worked perfectly. It is only a short walk to the Tabacchi to purchase your bus tickets and the pick-up stop is a short walk back to the fork in the road. The last stop in Florence (bus 25) is at Museo di San Marco, very convenient. Returning requires an uphill walk unless you stay on the bus and get off at a stop just above the villa...a longer ride on the bus, but it does make the walk a bit easier if you are not a fan of the uphill venture. Another option is to call a taxi...this too was very easy and not expensive. The taxis typically arrived within 5 to 10 minutes of our call.

“Dream holiday in Tuscany”

From the moment we arrived we felt at home in this beautiful Villa on the outskirts of Florence. Lorenzo had arranged for a food basket on arrival which was just perfect after a long trip. The bus stop was just a few meters from the Villa and had a very regular service to Florence which only took about 12 minutes. We did not hire a car and did not feel we needed one. With such a central location and easy access to the train station we caught trains for day/overnight trips to Sienna, Pisa, Lucca,Cinque Terre, Verona and Venice. The swimming pool was a wonderful bonus in the august heat and we loved the large balcony off the main bedroom for late breakfasts with a stunning view of Florence in the distance. Plumbing was a little temperamental as you would expect in a villa this age and beds a little firmer than I like but it all added to the fun. Great Villa and location, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Response from the manager Thank you, I really loved hosting you and your group. It made me proud to hear this holiday helped you to make new beautiful choices about your lives. Yes, the Villa has its age (it dates back to the XVII Century), but we are working on it, year by year, to improve the quality of what we can offer. Thanks for the advices, I look forward hosting you again!

“Fabulous visit!”

Lorenzo was great to work with and accommodated our arrival and departure times. Villa was nice, clean and a great location on the bus line to Florence. Easy ride into town. La Lastra had small store for staples and bus passes. Also a great little place for a glass of wine and deli. Brothers were welcoming here. Villa slept our large group comfortably. Have dinner made in the villa one night...great fun! View is unbelievable!

Response from the manager Thank you Michelle, it has been a real pleasure hosting your lively party!
