“Great location”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2014

We stayed at Navona Home for a week. Laura was an absolute pleasure to do business with. I brought my very religious mother to Rome because she wanted to do an Easter pilgrimage and see the new pope. I gathered we weren't typical Navona Home clientele, but I chose the apartment due to its proximity to the Vatican. It was a great choice because it's actually accessible to just about everything. There was also a taxi stand a few blocks away with plenty of taxis to take us to pilgrimage sites outside the aurelian walls. Via della Vetrina runs through a beautiful neighborhood. It's more of an alley than a street. Cab drivers routinely refused to take us there or did not know how to get to it. Arriving with heavy luggage, that made for a rough start, but once we settled in we realized that the street's relative obscurity was part of its charm - very close to Piazza Navona but sequestered from the noise and crowds. We didn't spend much time shopping, but Via dei Coronari, which is sort of perpendicular to Via della Vetrina, has numerous clothing, antique, and gift shops with unique and well-made souvenirs, as well as the usual Roman kitsch. My 18-year-old nephew, who visited the apartment for a few days, bought a really sharp pair of Italian leather shoes in one of the nearby shops for about 120 Euros. Near the apartment on Via dei Coronari is a cheap little hole-in-the-wall takeout pasta place that sells the best pasta I ever ate in my life. My nephew kept running downstairs to buy cartons of the stuff to "snack on". On the same street is the "Gelateria Del Teatro". If you're american you probably won't find artisanal gelato this good except maybe in NYC. Be careful; it's addictive. I recommend this apartment based on location as well as the hospitality and graciousness of its owner.

Response from the owner thanksssss!!!!

“Even better than the pictures and in a great location”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2013

This is a showplace apartment in the best location in Rome. Laura was the perfect host -- from providing us with an Italian cellphone we could use, surprising us with prosecco and cookies for our afternoon snack, to making our dinner and cab reservations. The apartment is one flight up in a non-elevator building so don't stay here if you can't manage that. I would enthusiastically recommend this rental if you want the best Rome has to offer.

“Amazing apartment, Great value”

Beautiful apartment in a great location.Designed and fitted by famous artist Ezio Bastianelli. Stunning apartment, exceptionally clean. Perfect ending to a perfect weekend. We did not want to leave. The apartment has everything and the hosts are Laura and Ezio could not be more helpful. Equipped with excellent wifi and also a phone for information if needed, everything is considered. Thanks for an unforgettable Rome experience, 5 stars!

Response from the owner thanks a lot!!!

“Beautiful flat right in the heart of Rome”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2013

Perfect hosts... There was even a bottle of bubbles left for us! Beautiful and atmospheric flat. Perfect for a romantic break in Rome, though I stayed with my brother, and that was perfect too! It's so close to palazzo nuova and the panetheon... And some cracking places to hang out at night (one of the most hippest bars was round the corner.. As well as a carre four! Would recommend to anyone! Laura was wonderful, all checked in smoothly and she left a cellphone that we could contact her on if we had an emergency.

Response from the owner Thanksssssss!
