“Great Time”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2015

I traveled with my husband and my adult children (we were a group of 6). We stayed in this condo the first week of January. Julianne made sure we had correct information on how to reach the complex, she offered her services and expertise several times, since I am from Puerto Rico, I did not have to ask her too many questions. This condo is situated at the end of Villa Pesquera in Isabela. The condo is very comfortable for a group of 6 adults, not necessarily three couples. The bedrooms are spacious and the common living area is ample. The kitchen is equipped if you wish to have home cooked meals. The laundry machines are a great thing to have. Julianne has beach equipment and towels available to the renters (including a cooler). We did not use most of the equipment available because we had our own towels, snorkeling gear, and cooler, but it was definitely great to know it was available if needed. You may swim in the beach area of Playa Sardinera, but you are also at a close distance from Jobos Beach (famous for surfing) and the beaches of the west coast beaches such as Crash Boat which have calmer waters. The condo's tennis & basketball courts, are available to you as well as the swimming pool. There is a gym available, we did not access it since most of our activities were outdoor sports. The condo is at walking distance from quite a few beach kiosks which are open until fairly late hours. You may drive to other restaurants if you wish, if you dine at any of the kiosks you may want to ask before ordering if the kiosk takes credit cards. Some of the kiosks have sit down dining areas, but that does not mean they take credit cards, so bring your cash. Playa Sardinera has a biking/walking trail that you can enjoy. There are quite a few grocery stores that are at a close driving distance. There are also some very good bakeries. When in Puerto Rico, if you are a bread lover request a loaf of "pan de agua". If you are a coffee lover and find you decide to vacation in Isabela get "Cafe de Lares". This coffee is only available in a few parts of the island. Isabela happens to be one of them. Don't be fooled by the green bag, it is not decaf. The town of Isabela is a small charming town. We were able to observe their celebration of Three Kings Days (January 6). It seemed that everyone in town came to the Plaza to celebrate this Holiday. The eve of this Holiday included a Firework display, and a cute presentation for the children.

“Perfect Condo for Vacation in Lovely Puerto Rico!”

Reviewed 2 Jan 2014

This condo was great for our family vacation to Isabella Puerto Rico. The interior was newly remodeled, impeccably clean, decorated nicely and had a fabulous kitchen! There were 6 of us staying- including 4 teenagers- and we all had what we needed and then some. The grounds were very well maintained. The pool and pool house were very nice, the guards kept the grounds watched, there was a full basketball court, and we were right on the beach. There are literally 2 different beaches at your backdoor- both offering different experiences. And the views were just amazing!!! Watching the waves break over the rocks from the back porch, watching the surfers, and enjoying and uncrowded beach time. The location is quiet, safe, close to grocery, and had a great bike trail. Our children our older now- but this would be a great place for younger kids as the pool has a play area, a graded entrance to the water, and there are a lot of spots on the local beaches that offer protected areas for the younger kids to play. We went to Jobos, Shacks, and Villa De Mar beaches that are within 5-10 miles of the condo and loved the snorkeling, waves, and watching the wind surfers. Julianne, the owner, was very gracious ans provided us with any info we needed, and met us the night we arrived with condo ready and candles lit. We texted her several times during our stay regarding directions etc- and she responded promptly. We couldn't have asked for better service. We stayed for a week and had a great time. Our only complaint (which has nothing to do with our stay at this condo) we were disappointed with eating out at local restaurants- slow service, average food, and seafood was not prevalent. Puerto Ricans don't eat a ton of fish- there was a lot of pork, fried food, and fast food.

Response from the owner Thank you all for such a great review. It was great having you all as my guests. I hope we can have you back in Puerto Rico some day. Sorry about the service experience at local restaurants. If it was mine you would have the best service ever. You are totally right, the majority of Puertoricans eat lots of fried food, it its part of the culture. Hope to see you back again, but your referrals are always appreciated.
