“SECOND TRIP TO FRON OLEU A HAVEN OF TRANQUILITY”
This is our second annual trip to North Wales staying at Fron Oleu. We love the space of the beautiful, well equipped bedroom and spotless ensuite. Attention to detail is Shelley's forte. We always have such a wonderful welcoming from Adam & Shelley such perfect hosts. They put their hearts into everything they do and have achieved a wonderful, peaceful special place to relax and share all the views that guests feel very privileged to enjoy. Nothing is too much trouble, breakfasts are a treat to start the day before going off for our beautiful walks in the area. I always love coming back to the comfortable bed for a good nights sleep. We even ate our picnic one day in the lovely sunny garden. We look forward to further trips in the future. Thanks to both of you.
“Relaxing country comfort, in a privately accessed first floor en”
We are a senior couple who enjoy fine things in life. Comfort and value for money are high in our expectations, as is the company of pleasant but unobtrusive hosts. Our four nights at Fron Oleu more than satisfied all of our needs. We were met enthusiastically by Shelley, quickly settled into our very private quarters, and enjoyed her company each morning as she conjured up a delicious breakfast for us in her huge farmhouse kitchen diner. While the surroundings are beautifully rural (look for the chooks, bunnies on the green, and birds) the coastal town of Criccieth is mere minutes away with good standard restaurants, excellent pub grub at The Prince of Wales, and lots of very friendly locals. Communications can sometimes be unreliable in country districts of Wales, but Shelley is always contactable by home phone or mobile telephone, and you will find that you will usually be able to access her (unadvertised) Wireless Internet in your room with your Laptop or similar. Our high rating for Fron Oleu is genuine, as evidenced by the fact that we extended our initial booking of two nights, firstly to three nights, and then to a fourth night, because we could find no reason to move on from this recently established B and B. This small intimately managed family business will surely flourish. Book early!
“Comfiest bed in lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings”
The Fron Oleu B&B; is set on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in fact you can see the tip of Snowdon on a clear day from the back garden. We easily found the cottage and had a friendly welcome from our hosts. Our room had its own entrance from the garden where you can then either go into the dining area/ kitchen or go up the stairs to an enormous bedroom / lounge and bathroom. Lying in the bed you have a fantastic view through the balcony window over the surrounding hills. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room is tastfully furnished. We had the full Welsh breakfast every day. It was very tasty and lots of it. Our stay was spent doing lots of walks along the nearby beaches such as Borth-Y-Gest and Criccieth. We also enjoyed visiting Porthmadog with its interesting harbour, art trail and old train. When we come again next time we will spend more time hill walking and enjoying the spectacular views.
“A Peaceful and beautiful place to escape city life”
My partner and I received a warm welcome from the owner , Shelley .We were delighted by our beautiful spacious room which had stunning views of the local area. Fron Oleu is well located to explore North Wales and Shelley was extremely helpful with her local knowledge of the area. I recommend the "Goat Inn" for a Sunday roast after a long walk in Criccieth. Welsh breakfast was amazing and set us up for another day of exploring. Shelley was only to happy to accomodate my gluten free diet which normally causes some difficulty. I highly recommend Fron Oleu to couples who want to escape , relax and eat good food .
“Great place to stay”
Great location, very friendly and the comfyist bed in the word.
Absolutely great stay! Stylish bedroom and shower room, great hosts and really lovely breakfast. The bedroom has a lovely balcony which overlooks the mountains in the distance. We really cannot reommend more. Thank you Shelley and adam for a great stay
