Gite du Calme 3 Star Accommodation
Located in a village called Cherac surrounded by the Cognac vineyards, and yes Cognac is made from grapes - the eau de vie from the grapes is made into Cognac. Cognac ville is 10kms away and also 10 kms away is the beautiful village of Saintes, the once Roman capital of France.
Gite du Calme is a three double bedrooms all with their own private shower room and WC property with swimming pool - 4 metre trampoline, table tennis, games and large garden. Perfect for 6 adults and 2 to 3 children.
Gite du Calme is traditional 1890 lime stone house set in large garden with pool with views overlooking the sweeping Cognac vineyards. There are 2 large double en-suite bedrooms and 1 family suite with double bedroom bathroom and adjoining twin room for 2 children.
There is a large farmhouse kitchen and a salon with TV, DVD, WiFi + PC, Wii, lots of games magazines and books.
We are 1 hour 30 mins from Bordeaux ville and airport and 1 hour from La Rochelle ville and airport.
We are 40 mins drive to the beaches at Royan.
There are many beautiful villages, river, vineyards and tourist activities to do all year close to Gite du Calme.

“Perfect”
My wife and me stayed only 2 nights as b&b clients, but were given the run of the whole gite during our stay. Fabulous location, facilities and warm and welcoming hosts. Just sorry we didn't… More
