“Excellent Location & Super Condo”
Our 5 day stay at the Alpine Paradise @ Mountainwood was EXCELLENT. The Condos description and photos were accurate to a 'T' and spot on. The kitchen was very well stocked and compared to condos we have rented in the past it contained everything needed for cooking and grilling. The location was excellent and convenient to downtown. Everything was within 5-10 minutes walk. (Breck Brewery, Dredge Boat restaurant, Mexican Mia Casa all can be recommended as well for dining). The downtown historic area was also right there within 5 mins close to where the restaurants mentioned above are located. The owners are completely service oriented and provided much information in advance and recommendations on things to see and do. Despite the fact we had been in Breckenridge before we found the wealth of info fantastic and it is always good to have updates on new things to do and see. Bill also provided information on altitude sickness which can also come in handy if you are not used to the high altitudes. The condo was also very clean, towels provided and very comfortable beds. The unit is located on the 1st floor and has easy access to the underground garage and to the outside side entrance. We can certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great condo to spend time with family or friends. My daughter really enjoyed the Fun Park and the shopping at the Outlet malls in Silverthorne.
Response from the owner We always enjoy having Guests from Europe stay with us. Eric who is from Germany enjoyed our beautiful Colorado Mountains and our home. We always try to give them extra TLC and hints on how to enjoy both Breckenridge and our Country. Whether it is a rental car or groceries, we want them to get the best deal. We hope that Eric visits us again. Bill & Kathy Handley, Owners of Alpine Paradise in beautiful Breckenridge.
“Amazing Stay; close to the lifts & comfy!”
Comfortable condo close to the lifts in Breckenridge - great service provided by the owners/easy coordination & check in. A++ recommended amnd will consider staying again in the neat future - love the ammenities - felt like home!
“Great Loacation/Beautiful Condo”
We were very pleased with this condo. It is the perfect location with easy access to both the slopes and main street. It is on the first floor and has an elevator to the garage and ramp to outside which was great for us since we had a stroller with us most of the time. We rented our skis at Charter Sports which is very close to the condo and a great place to stop and pickup/drop off your skis and boots each day. The condo is recently renovated and has everything you might need including a pack and play and high chair for little ones. The master closet is huge and made the perfect nursery for our one year old. There is a large deck which the kids really enjoyed on a warm day. Bill was wonderful and willing to help us with anything we needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
“A wonderful place to stay.”
We had nothing but great things to say about our stay at this condo. It had all the ammenities of home. If there were any complaints that we had it would have only been of the cleaning service. It appeared clean upon arrival, but when we got in and were there a little while we noticed the big picture window on the sliding door was very dirty and the table runner had reminents of food. The second bathroom floor was also not cleaned well. I am OCD on clean so others may not have even noticed. But if your paying for a cleaning service these things need to be stepped up a notch. Otherwise we would stay again and again, it will be our first choice. Beautiful accommodations and a beautiful easy location.
This is a gem - great place to sit back when you want but centrally located between Main St and Peak 9 for all the action of Breckenridge. It has lots of space with a fully furnished kitchen.
“Beautiful home in Breck”
This was beyond our expectations. The home was spacious, well appointed, everything we needed to have a great vacation. Our kids were calling it "home" within 1 day of getting there. The owners are very professional and hospitable and I would highly recommend this home to anyone vacationing in Summit County.
“Excellent Breck Condo”
I am a life-long Colorado resident. I have stayed in at least 100 different places in the various ski towns in Colorado over the years, so I have some ability to compare. Many rental condos are sterile. This condo is not. The owners clearly use their place with sufficient frequency to keep a pulse on the care of the condo and maintain it well. Many people rent out their condos in the mountains, and there is usually a sterilized look and feel to these places. This place doesn't fit the mold at all - it has homey touches and personal decoration choices that are tasteful and fitting. And so many places in Breckenridge are tired and dated, since the boom years for building were the 1970s and 1980s. But the owners of this unit have done a great job of updating the unit, with the granite counters, wainscoting, and the like. It has a rustic cabin feel while being quite up to date. The location couldn't have been better and the pool/hot tub house is a terrific side benefit. The owners provide some very nice touches: three TVs with a cable package, two coffee-makers (they must be a partially decaffeinated family!), and very good humidifiers (a must for good sleep and health in the dry mountains, in my opinion) in each bedroom, among others. There's a patio that can only be described as vast with a gas grill and seating. The amenities include a really nice pool and hot tub facility, equipped with a changing room. The location is pretty close to ideal: there's a walking path to both the ski slope (I'd put it at a 300-400 yard lateral walk) and to the town shops (a downhill walk, about the same distance). While I was there for a summer trip, this is the perfect distance from the base: out of the hub-bub, but close enough to walk to everything. I can recommend this place highly, and I plan to go there again.
Response from the owner We really enjoy having guests like Ron. He is an attorney in Denver, so he knows the mountains and contracts. I always get a little nervous with attorneys signing my contract, but then it like a free consulation in that they would change it if not appropriate. We have two propeties in Flip Key and have tried to make them perfect for both our own use and our guests. If it is broken, or tired, we replace it. As Kathy and I are from Florida, we love the mountains and decorating with a "mountain theme". Bill & Kathy
This was an amazing location for Breckenridge. Walking distance to most everything. Loved the two rooms both with king size beds. Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. Was perfect for our family of four.
Our stay could not have been nicer. Sleeping and space we excellent with my wife and I in one bedroom, our son and his wife in the other, and our granddaughters (8&10) on the sofa bed. The condo was upscale, well stocked, and very convenient for the mountain and town. We used the hot tub and pool. The underground parking also made our stay easy. Bill could not have been nicer or more helpful during our stay. He even called afterwards to make sure that everything was ok and to find out if anything needed to be replaced or fixed. We plan to stay again.
“Fabulous accomodations in Breckenridge”
My family of five (three children under 10) had a wonderful first vacation in Breckenridge. The Handley condo is just a short walk to the Silverlift where our children were in Ski School. We hardly used the rental car; almost everything we did was in walking distance: mountain, rental shop, groceries, shopping, restaurants, and spa and ice skating. The Handleys sent us maps, instructions, directions, etc were all easyto follow and very helpful. We will definatley come back again and again to stay at alpine Paradise.
